Maybe you should look at any sport and what stuff cost these days. A motocaddy m7 golf trolley costs £1200 and that only takes golf clubs. A decent tennis racquet nowadays cost £400,cricket bat £300+ and that's a piece of carved wood. Going back to fishing an JAG rp1 pod with all the extras are £1k.
£1k is a lot of money for all but reality is it's not overpriced considering the world we live in especially considering how much easier it makes people's lives if you have to trek gear 1km+ in the mud.
As for the snide comment about battery running out of juice. Don't worry I paid extra for the long distance battery 👍

I wouldnt be with my carp porter now.... yes its a lot of money especialy if your skint but this has lasted 5 years and thats fishing a hell of a lot, i had one fault after 3 years cost 160 to fix. Carp tax or not its simple really dont buy it if you feel ur being robbed.... i go for cheaper bivvys now as i felt one brand ive used since the begining were taking the mick being well over 1k so went for another brand 350 cheaper that i thinks equal in quality. I tell you where we r being mugged off.... supermarkets for food... now that is daylight robbery!

On my lake the track gets closed from about now I til late spring when it hardens up again and if you want to fish the far end of the lake then you have to walk about a kilometer to fish it.
I bought a power barrow off someone off here but would of paid the new price if they were in stock.
I bought it for the sole reason of making my life easier. Need one possibly not but it definitely makes you more pro active with the thought of moving if need be! And if that's the case it will surely put more fish on the bank.
Imo it's a much better investment than an expensive bivvy.

If you need a power barrow to move your gear around surely you need to questions how much crap your taking with you in the first place???

My mate bought the new solar barrow when it was released
Since then he's had three sets of rear wheels from solar as the arms buckle/bend very easily,
Solar admitted that they had shipped the new barrows with the old version wheels. The third set of wheels they sent him are the "v2" wheels with a small reinforcement inside the arms that the wheels attach to. To me it looks like this was just an after thought as its just two plates welded to the inside support.
1k for a barrow with this qc is ridiculous?

I couldn't bring myself to spend a grand on a power barrow when I already had a perfectly good carp porter. So I had mine converted for £400. Considering all the bits were probably £200, I didn't feel I'd been turned over at all. If I paid a grand for one I think I'd feel a bit miffed. That big motor hanging down on a carp porter would worry me as well.

Its only more recently that component builds have become much more readily available, highlighting the margins that the main players have presumably been making. Reality is brands can charge whatever they like if there's a market for it . . .its a premium price point item but no more than any other premium carpy item (RT7s / RS Bivvies / Basias / Tech Mags / Custom Rods etc)

I have the solar one. Can't say I am a fan of wheels . Also very low, gives me a back ache just steering it and using throttle lol

I saw a guy walking down the road on my way to work last Saturday with his golf clubs next to him on a remote controlled golf bag thing. I give it 3-5 years it will be on a 3 wheeled barrow
