I have lost count of the times over the years I have explained that the LED Brightness on the txi`s is simply adjusted !
WHY ? because people dont read the manual its facts !!!!!!!

The only thing I can say is regardless if I own the product or not Im not biased. Will be honest in my assessment whether its good or bad. I still wouldn't change my delks for anything else but it has its flaws and its certainly not because I don't know how to use them. Maybe I'm just unlucky with my D's. Have dials that doesn't want to turn, have alarms chewing batteries and unlike my TXI + I have to set my sensitivity to very low to not get false beeps.
Take from that what you want. I gave my opinion nothing more I couldn't care less what anyone else think. I certainly wouldn't call anyone else thick etc over a set of alarms.

I'm in the same boat. Get false bleeps if the response is set to anything beyond the 3o'clock position. Maybe it is little knocking or whatever on the line, but it's annoying. Anyway I just turn it down below that level overnight so I don't get woken up needlessly.

I got a set for this season so far problem free in all weather.
I like the adjustability and thankgod for YouTube as if I need to change a setting (and can't remember) there is always a video I can watch.
Though rarely have needed to make any changes, ‘they just work out of the box'

Im curious as to what settings people need to change on the bank, other than the volume and response, which are both on dials? The only thing you could change on the txi+ by a dial, that isnt presnet on the Ds is tone. And i cant think of a situation in fishing, where there is a need, to change that

Diehard Fox fan - never owned a set of Delkims until the last couple of yrs and swopped my 20yr old RX digitals for TXIds. Have two sets both with receivers on different set ups and a pair of EVds for days on the river . . all of them are solid.
Once you learn the basic functions theres no real need to mess with them unless conditions dictate at which point you just toggle the response dial on the head itself - the mute button on the alarm head is great for setting bobbins without annoying everyone - the do not disturb on the remote is also great in the event of a massive random downpour etc . . .also like the integrated snag ears which you can use 'when you actually need to' and not semi permanently. . .

I bought a set with the expectation of a quality product with great customer support, got plagued by constant false alarms so contacted Delkim directly asking for advice, got a highly defensive mail with some guidance, followed it. Next weekend used them with adjustments made, had a 'usual' false alarm single beep in the night so ignored it. In the morning found my line in a different direction so reeled in and had to extract it from a reed bed. Total loss of confidence.
Searched Marketplace and bought a set of ATT's which from the first weekend out worked perfectly and sold the TXI'd's, confidence restored.
Apologies to the Delkim fan boys but this was my experience of TXI'd's, I tried to make them work but it just didn't work out.

So the “ 'usual' false alarm single beep” was i fact a fish picking up your rig, and you ignored it, but its the alarms fault?
Not sure a roller wheel alarm would have given you any better indication would it

If a fish kites on a tight line, no alarm would pick it up. And if its not enough movement on the line for a delkim to register. Why would a roller wheel pick it up?

Let's not forget that whatever alarm you use the important thing is using the correct bobbin set up and managing the way the line lays to the rig. This includes the lead arrangement and the direction of the rod and line to the rig. If you don't get a signal when the rig is moved you can't just blame alarm tech. People focus too much on how everything looks rather than thinking about how it will let you know if the bait gets moved.

Exactly right. There seems to be a current trend to fish tight lines with light bobbins up against the rod, coupled with the clutch set fairly tight. A recipe for not getting much of an indication of a take.
