Pop ups, drill out and insert plug of boilie, or a slice of bottom between 2 halves of pop up, counterweight them.
Until a few years ago I'd never used wafters, I'd always used a mix of pop/bot until I got what I wanted. Eventually I decided the fish didn't really care so it was always a butterflied 1/2&1/2 pop & bot, but I do have wafters now, probably won't buy them again.

That's really cool roughly how many baits does each section hold and is it air tight or in other words does the smell leak out?

I was just about to buy a load of 35mm cartridges but one or two of these could be ideal.

Oh and to the OP, all about popups, you can counter weight a pop up easier than making a wafter more buoyant

As much as I love a good pop-up, I seem to catch more on the same bait but as a wafter.

Last season my answer would have been pop ups as I was catching well on them. This year it's wafters that have been far more successful for me

Pop ups for one half of the year
Wafters for the other
Sorry it doesn't answer the question 😂

I use small 50mm screw top pots to keep my hookbaits in, and I'll mix different sizes of the same baits if I have them. So my answer is, I take both but in much smaller pots than the ones they come in.

I use the clear plastic pots you get the mushy peas/curry sauce in from Chippies=perfect size.
Are you sure?
