I'm not sure the 12 month thing stands, it should be expected to last a reasonable amount of time regardless of the amount of warranty, have a read of consumer goods or even give citizens advice a ring, def worth pursuing.

As an independent source a judge (if it went this far) could look at something like this to define a “reasonable length of time”

It's a bummer it hasn't lasted to long and anything is worth a go if you can get something back.
And there is also the other side of the consumer goods act
There is also a sliding scale you could use
If you would expect something to reasonably last 5 years
Less than 1 year would be 100%
2 years 80% and so on
The onus of proof will also fall on you to prove that it's not fit for purpose
And you would have to give them the chance to repair or replace
The act works 2 ways to protect both parties

Cyprinus see to have gone completely bust now so I don't think it will make a blind bit of difference

Thankyou Karlos, really appreciated mate. I would recommend members not to buy any DPM ripstop Cyprinus bevvies second hand. I believe they have now gone bust. I am going to spray the crsp out of these holes with fabsil see if it helps...

It looks like the inner coating has not enough elasticity to allow for the stretch of the material and as such has started to break apart, It seems the dpm versions suffers from this more often?
plenty of comments from buyers of earlier bivvies don't seem to have encountered problems of later models that were pre dpm.
imo, looking at the supplied pictures it doesn't strike me as being high quality, looks quite the opposite in fact.
good luck trying to seal that.

Looks like internal material delamination..sadly there is no way you'll be able to seal that to a standard that will keep you dry for any length of time..
I also have heard of dpm material breaking down faster than normal..
Has the shelter been stored ,and dried out correctly ...I don't know..so many questions ,and it's a pain isn't it..

Them internal vapour shields can cause this,they don't stop condensation but just stop it dripping on you.When you pack the bivvy away the condensation is trapped between the bivvy and the shield causing these issues

exactly right !
I posted about this issue before after seeing posts and pictures of Mould caused by people not realising they were packing away a bivvy with a vapour shield hiding the wet bivvy
only a Skull cap stops it because then the wet is is on the inside of the skull cap thats outside the bivvy and you can easily see it and dry it

I've put brollys away for few weeks at a time wet through the winter and never had anything like that happen. Wouldn't of thought it would cause that unless your putting it away wet for long lengths of time

If the vapour shield is trapping moisture it will definitely cause this after a few times of use.,It is surprising how much moisture they can be hiding
