13 degrees and cloudy Saturday for the national as long as it doesn't rain I'll be happy my beer jacket will keep me warm

Just off for my first sesh of the year, till sunday lunchtime. Time to test out the new bits i bought. New syndicate and a new car picked up yesterday. Mates meeting me down there a little later. Should be a good one, i hope!

A very enjoyable few days. Will take a while getting to know the new lake but plenty of fish showing for us. Good banter as usual, good food and beers. Weather was superb during the day but pretty cold at night.
And the new car was fantastic!

I wonder if they will spawn early again this year. I've just been down to a lake that started very early last year (29/04) and there are already the signs of fish following going on, and a water temperature of +18c in places.
Is anyone seeing similar elsewhere?

Was in Devon last week, fish starting to gather/chase, even at the end of a biting easterly.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're at it nearer the end of next week, that sun's hot!

It'd be sods law. I had last week and I was hoping for this wind direction change a week earlier...maybe next time.
At least you've not travelled all the way to France for them to start the shenanigans.....yep, been there
