Well it did rain but no thunderstorms.
A thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Fished with a buddy that i met at the lake a while back. Caught a cat and a common. Loads of food cooked up on the Cadac.
My new Trakker RS100 with the magnetic mozzie mesh was a god send as the little blighters were out in force!!

Sounds like a great weekend.
I see mixed reports on those mag doors on here. We use a camping tent with them on, got to say they work really well, and that's on a 7' door.

They dont always clip together first time down low but so much easier than having to mess about with zips.

Closed my windows a little earlier than usual in Surrey last night. Definitely seems a little chillier lately.

You could well be onto something there.
I was fishing yesterday & it felt very autumnal in the wind.
While pulling up the hood of my thick hoodie & sipping on a hot flask of coffee, I almost felt sorry for the lad opposite shivering in shorts & t-shirt, almost..

Lad turned up next to me in shorts and flip flops. He dumped all his stuff and sat in his car for an hour 😂😂.

The trees are in "stress" due to lack of rain, thus will shed their leafs to reduce evapotraspiration. There was a news item about it recently on tv, also noted that autumn fruit was early as was the pumpkin season. My allotment looks like autumn already with my pumpkin plants almost dead l😒😒😒
