Bit of a random one, my ridgemonkey is knackered, I need a new pan. Non stick pans never last, has anyone had much luck using a stainless steel pan or a seasoned cast iron one?

I wouldn't get a cast iron pan ,they weigh a ton ,but did you know Trangia do a whole range of frying pans ,if you go on the Trangia website you'll see what I mean
These pans can be used in,or on they heat source,so they tough
Trangia,also bringing out a ceramic ,super non stick pan drekkly.
Also....if I was looking ,and used a gas heat source,I'd definitely be looking at Trakkers granite range ..

Mix of experience really both camping and home. If I had to choose bomb proof it'd be a thicker Titanium but cost would probably make me choose stainless.
None stick, expensive or cheap, great at 1st but don't last. Camping/fishing wise, if a few years will do you the MSR Skilllet is very good, but pricey.
Granite, wierd one. At home and expensive a granite one lasted just over a year but our Ridgemonkey ones are still going after 3 or 4. We use the RM ones for camping and fishing too.
Stainless, for me personally the best if weight not a consideration. Yes stuff sticks but you can scour them and they don't hold smells.
Cast iron, 3rs best. You have to be a little careful cleaning which isn't a biggy but they can slightly hold smells from things like curry/sesame oil etc. Is that a problem, not really. If you do clean them too enthusiastically you will have to apply a light coat of oil to stop rust.
Titanium, for me the best if weight a consideration. It's what's in my fishing gear. I bought a really light thin one as I was on a weight saving drive, it can buckle on high heat but I don't find it a problem, thicker pans don't. Like stainless things can stick but they can be scoured.
Edit, just had a quick look on Ebay, the price of titanium camping frying pans has at least halved since I last looked about 10 or more years ago!

Trakker Armolife Marble all day long . . .just make sure you use plastic utensils to elongate its non-stick properties . . .think I did a review on them - the universal detachable handle is also v useful . . .compact size is perfect for one man 24-48hr sessions IMO - mine still going strong after 3 seasons use . .

Ridgemonkey Griddle Pan 
Non-stick medium frying pan from Asda, about £7. Unless you fish every weekend and don’t look after it will last you a few yrs.
Bin it then and buy another one, light, easy to clean and not carp taxed.

ive had the sonik sizzler for a couple of seasons now, knocks spots of the rm.. have a look, the handles are superb , dont fall out like the marble rm one i bought, and rapidly sent it back

We have a GSI pan with a folding handle in our camper and it’s the dogs b*llocks. Will definitely look at one for fishing when my old one gives up the ghost.

Primus litech about 35 quid on ebay. There is nothing better. Sounds expensive but i've had mine over 20 years and still going strong.

Echo what’s been said, use plastic of wooden utensils and most will last for years
I have a tefal red spot, been good until I started cutting sausages in half in it, started with a line which has now peeled back ffs. Saw one the other day, £12, might get another
