I've got an SJ9, had it since they first came out so years old and still going strong. They are very warm, I only use it for the depths of winter, worth thinking about that, autumn and early spring it's probably too warm.
Never fall into the trick of wearing it to take your gear to the swim or setting up.

Yeah I have an SJ9. Absolutely brilliant imo. Wore it for years for fishing and now wear it for cleaning the koi pond filter when it's cold. Coupled with the salopettes it's like a mobile sleeping bag.

I have the new Trakker thermal jacket. TechPro. It's mega and also 10,000 head rating. I've not yet found it too warm because it's quite breathable I think, but I've only worn it to 3 sessions so far so still early days.

I have the SJ9 and it's seriously warm for sitting around in

How would you say the sizing comes up..

Not sure if Medium or Large would be best

I have the same challenge in t shirts I'm an XL.

But from looking at their website you need to consider what you will be wearing underneath the jacket as well as jacket length and also arm length.

So best to find somewhere to try them on.

Snugpak sizing is all over the place. I wear XL or XXL for normal clothes, but the sasquatch I have is a m and its big on me. I wouldn't dream of mail ordering their gear Tbh

I'm a 44" chest and a large fits me with room for a layer underneath. The medium is a bit snug even with just a t shirt.

So you are a Large withe enough room for a Hoodie underneath....

Does that leave you at all restricted for movement..

I'm just a 38" Chest and that's over a Hoodie ...!
On that basis a Medium should suit best.

Definitely a medium. I'm a 44" chest as well and the medium is snug on me with just a t-shirt.
