I want to do some of this, I'm just thinking of putting some bait in a spomb and taping it up so it doesn't open, does that sound about right or this there a better option?

Might get away with it if you hit the clip, but I imagine dropping short would smash it to smithereens!

Chum mixer and 3 on a spot. Last week I had a Golden Retriever, a couple of staffies and low double Yorkshire terrier. Saw a couple of huge Rottweilers feeding cautiously on the edge of the spot so will be going back at some point.

As you said tape it up with bait in and Chuck it out
Not sure how many slaps into the ground it would actually stand before it smashed to pieces

I've done this before, as long as you hit the clip it's fine , but take extra tape, and bait or pellets as the tape eventually breaks and you lose the bait. I used a normal midi spomb .
