Hi everyone.
Can anyone recommend a small frying pan with folding / removable handle that packs down small, but isn't just Chinese cr*p. Most of the camping and fishing ones are useless.
I don't mind spending a bit, but it needs to be good quality and non stick.

If you look on the official Trangia website there are several versions ,of what you want ..
These are separate from the actual 25 and 27 system cook kits ..
I reckon the best frypan I've seen is the Granite version ,large Trakker non stick ,with removable handles .

Can recommend Trakker Armolife Marble . . . I've got the compact 'set' and tbf its not as small as one might think, but small enough (I use the pan as a small plate most of the time) Brilliant bits of cooking kit - the removable handle is chunky and I initially thought it would be a pain; its actually really good (simple one handed operation) because you can balance the cookwear more easily when cooking without it (and not risk knocking it off the stove in tight space etc) as well as removing the pan temporarily to stir without risk of spilling etc
The non-stick surface is excellent and really easy to wipe clean with a baby wipe when not being used - like all non-stick goes without saying but ensure you use plastic utensils to mitigate scratching / ruining the surface etc . . .

Most of the pans out there with removable/ folding handles are going to be for the outdoor market. Not much call for compact in the kitchen.
For what it's worth I've got a kampa square 24cm frying/ griddle pan with removable handle. They also do a round version. I've also got a set of Coleman exponent pans with a grip handle after a recommendation from " Oldgeezer " rest easy fella, on here.

I have the Jetboil one, handle folds, non stick coating seems hard wearing and it's a doddle to clean
Comes in a nice draw string bag to keep it protected too

If you don't mind something a bit heavier then Netherton foundry make some great glamping pans that fit the bill. Will last a lifetime and no nasty non stick chemicals.

Tefal do a range of pots and pans including heavier non stick ones with a removable handle. M7ch better than the wafer thin camping ones.

For years I used a MSR Skillet, deeper than your average but that meant I only needed 1 pan. I see they do a ceramic now but it ain't cheap!
I'm undecided on granite/ceramic over none stick based on normal frying pans in the house, if it were uo to me it'd be stainless.. lol
However......hard hat at the ready
Have you thought about a ridgemonkey combi (just use the lid but flexibility to use both if required)?
My wife decided she wanted the RM Range for camping and I have to say they are brilliant. The sandwich maker has been used weekly and is as good as new inside. Naturally there are other makes.

Ive used most if the decent camping frying pans and by far the best ive found is the gsr pinnacle frying pan. I sometimes even use it in the house if i need another frying pan.

I have a Gsi pinnacle too after a recommendation on here. Way better than the others I've used Inc the Coleman XTREME that was another recommendation. Treat yourself to a silicone spatula/spoon at the same time, that'll extend its life.

I bought a Ninja frying pan (same as I use at home), cut the handle off and then bought a Tower detachable handle from Amazon for fishing.

This looks remarkably like the Trakker pans (the handle is identical) albeit not carpy green - the Trakker compact is also smaller at 16cm diameter

Who knew they even did a 10' Gsi pinnacle. Might get one for inside.
I'm guessing if you want to spend £40 on a fishing frying pan you care about food - so another recommendation probably more suited to inside, but probably fine if your one of the wood fire guys, is the M&S cast aluminium casserole dish. That's hands down the best pan I ever bought and a fraction of the lecruset and ninja that it is way better than.
