Its been years since ive had to upgrade my clothing but the time has come. Im deverstated to see Snugpak have made their sizes smaller, i cant fit in it anymore.! My old sachquash is full of holes now.
Went to the shop, tried pretty much everything and the only thing i could get in was a Ridgemonkey coat in XXXl that has a chest size of 55/56" and the cut is great. The 9nly issue i have is its not mega warm and is not very breathable.
Does anyone know of any none fishing brands i could look at?

100 quid. Up to 4xl. Black colour but that wouldn't bother.me for 75% down 25 feather

Most of my fishing clothing comes from Military 1st or Mountain Warehouse. From a fishing brand perspective I've found the Navitas gear pretty good quality and value

As others have said look at military clothing. I usually wear standard combat trousers on the lower half, with if it gets cold, a pair of overtrousers by Hoggs of Fife. I don't know if the Strathmoor range is still available, I've had mine a few years now, jacket and overtrousers.
They do do a new updated range, think its called the Culloden, so their stuff is worth a look.
Even better is that they are British!

I have a few bits of mountain warehouse clothing and find it does not last at all.The coat I have got and bodywarmer both had issues with the zips,have you had any issues or have I been unlucky

My coats come from either Military 1st or Navitas but I do have a body warmer that I've had for 3 years now and not had an issue. The zips on numerous pairs of combats have been a bit iffy and not lasted long from Mountain Warehouse so I tend to stick to Craghoppers or Karimor (which are surprisingly good) for trousers. Mountain Warehouse I find good for base layers, t-shirts and I find the footwear decent as well

Hoggs of Fife are Scottish ,was in there not long ago and they have some very good outdoor clothing from lots of makers including deer hunter but very little of what they sell is made in the UK.

I'm pretty positive that a large amount of the Hoggs of Fife own brand stuff is
The MD gave an interview and made the point that they recognise the local area and jobs in the area and UK
I do know most of the footwear is made in Northampton.

Hunting clothing from decathlon is pretty good, and cheap, and comfy.

Own brand stuff did look good value for money but is only a small proportion of the stock I saw in there ,must admit I didn't look at any wax cotton stuff they sell ,had that in my early biking years and hated it. May have to go back for a good look but remember the standout fishing stuff for me was the deer hunter stuff
