Its certainly more compact than my Cobb
but IMO the COBB is a far better bet if you can put up with the bigger bulk

Looks good. Nice and compact. Is it worth £180 though. Does seem a bit steep
Is there anything simular on the market? A lot of these ideas seem to cross over from the outdoor camping world, they lead we follow.

Looks good to me, but there are a few mediocre reviews on Amazon. Presume the gas valve is universal. Also I guess it would be pretty snug fitting with the spuds and meat in one oven - they had it in two!!

If i was going to be fishing a lake for one or two weeks through the colder months then yeah - good idea, looks reasonably well built and will do a job.
For a overnighter or 48hours session - maybe a tad overkill.
depends on how you are angling and for what periods of time. Id probably go safari anyway as more versatile.

I think I will stick with the cobb.
with the compact Cobb and wok dish (whatever they are called) I've never eaten so well on the bank..and the frying pan is spot on, its the only thing I can fry an egg on without it ending up an omelette.
Cobb does it all and is big enough to do it in the one unit and a better quality build and finish wise.
What cobb are people using? I've just had a quick look and it seems there is a few options?

I have owned and used 2 different models and the very best one to buy IMO is the Cobb Air as its the results of improvements over all the previous models and so will work better and more versatile
the only other one worth considering is the Compact as its got the advantage in its compact size but the grill is closer to the coals and so will cook hotter and faster so less versatile but both brilliant
I also have a couple of Cadac Safari Chef`s high and low pressure models and the LOW pressure I run on propane and is great in the winter

I've the premier air and compact gerry, and like you say the compact does cook a bit quick but I added the riser ring which solves it a bit. also I add the cooking rack which raises it a bit more. I also find not using the Cobb cobblestones on the compact instead of a decent bbq brick slows cooking a bit more.

Yes, had Cobb non gas as well but prefer the convenience of gas.as I find it easier to regulate the temperature.

Call me lazy but I couldn't be arsed with setting it up and packing it away all the time, looked at Cobbs but again as I'm a lazy **** waiting for coals/fuel logs to get going I'd sooner set up my Cadac safari chef by flipping out three legs and screwing on a bottle of gas.
In all honesty a small stove gas bottle and large ridge monkey pan probably covers most of my cooking needs on the bank fishing in the UK for a day or two most weekends, I occasionally take the Cadac when its nice weather and also if having a social with a mate or two, when I'm away fishing for a week or more I take my Kampa Roast Master Propane oven which is definitely a better option for a roast dinner on the bank I bought mine years ago for about £130 notes but like all things they have gone up in price since then but still not a lot more money now than ND's offering for an MDF flat pack hobbit oven.
Probably about the best price atm for the KAMPA
