As per title. Looking for the best shelter/brolly must be light and quick to erect. Had the v2 brolly before and really liked it just a little to low for me. 2 options I'm thinking of are
Wychwood mhr
Sonik axs brolly
Any other suggestions or reviews much appreciated

There's a couple of similar posts from this week, have a butcher's at them. I used to have the Wychwood one, not the lightest out there, but it's a quality bit of kit.

I've got a Wychwood MHR, use it for overnighters and day sessions. FIts me an one of the boys under happily our our chairs. I've also made a full sized groundsheet for it (great tip from on here, using a tarp from ebay) and also the front which I might stick on for overnigthers in really cold weather.
Great bit of kit. good quality.

I was a Tempest naysayer until I got one, couldn't believe you could get any faster than a LowPro. But it is, and more sturdy. I'm not tall, but if I was I would get the T version. Also don't know why would would ever need anything more than the nylon version. Why do you need expensive material to make brolly dark on the inside, the whole front is open?

When the sun is beating down a thicker darker material makes for a cooler shelter provided the front is open and rear vents are open

I would rather be out of the brolly in a bit of shade under the trees if it's red hot, but I guess that depends on the lake.

If you found the V2 too low for you, I don't think you'll like the MHR mate.
Like others, I recommend the 100T.

I have the Sonik axs bivvy & I'm happy with it. Previously had the V2 brolly which is great for setup time but too low for me. The Sonik is a decent height & makes use of its footprint better having a flat back. For me, the material is better than the tempest's nylon but the poles aren't quite as thick so set up it doesn't feel as rigid - with the added stormpoles it is though.
It all boiled down to price for me, 240 for the full bivvy system versus nearly 400 for the equivalent with the Tempest.
Your position is very similar, 120 for the Sonik versus 270 for the Trakker.

Looking round for a 2nd shelter/bivvy (don't know why as my Tempest is fine and I have a 2 man for longer sessions and with my son) but I am and also come across the JRC Stealth Bloxx which appears decent with a seemingly better quality material and vents as a bonus

i have the axs brolly... had a tempest brolly , but they are designed for dwarfs
quite impressed with the axs tbh , stacks of room under it . it isnt quite as sturdy as the tempest , but its by no means wobbling about all over the place ,stick storm sticks on and its fine . been in some torrential downpours and its just run off like water off ducks back......light too
