I honestly think the 100T brolly is approaching the perfect shelter. Maybe a tiny bit big, but the height is good, goes up really easy plus you have every option you could need for fronts, caps, wraps etc if you’re into that sort of thing. I had the V2 brolly for years and the extra bit of height makes a big difference for a small pay off weight and pack down size.

Yeh. You might find that you can't zip the door down of the infil
But I would never do that anyway. I guess if you really had to you could pull a couple of pegs out on one side and shift it a few inches

Thanks Philip, but I'm from the Netherlands so ordering from the UK is going to be easy for me.

If you're after a 100T get GoOutdoors to price beat c2kft.co.uk it makes the brolly £225

Okay, thanks for your reply. I only thought you would be short on fabric because it get's wider.

I normally spread mine without the tension strap , just peg the infill panel further out at the front , gives you more room as well. Doesn't really affect how it goes together. Great shelter. 👍

Hi Paul,

I am also looking at buying the 100t Tempest. The height is a big step up from the 100 models or the v2 brolly. I tried sitting in a v2 brolly today and my head touched the poles.

On the other hand, the 100t seems a bit too tall. I noticed you also can opt for not using the tension strap and thus making it lower. That makes me wonder: if you don't use the tension strap and set it up lower, can you still use the infill panel in a normal way? Seems to me the infill panel forces the bivvy to have a certain width to height ratio?

Having rear mesh panels at that price is also a huge plus. I really dont care about them in the front of any shelter as I to open front whenever anyway. But the through draft they enable is beautiful when its warm or.muggy.

100% agree with that Paul in fact on my Tempest Bivvy I got Army Andy to replace the pointless front mesh either side of the door with clear plastic panels so when it was chucking it down I will have a lot more light and I have a mozzie mesh front anyway but 90% of the time the front is off or rolled back and rear vents open

Cheers al that really helped, got myself a 2nd hand 100T with all the accessories (both infills, ground sheet and skull cap) for £300, couldn’t say no, seemed like a great deal. Oh and also 2 storm poles

Definitely.
Plenty big enough for me, in fact I'm going to be using mine in France next year as my main bivvy for the week.

I would definitely buy it again again infact if something happened to line tomorrow I’d just buy it again, I do everything from a 24hr to a full week in mine I don’t need any other bivvy than this

I would. For me,It is a great shelter. Majority of my fishing
Is overnighters so I dont need mountains of space winterskins and porches etc. I have other bivvies . So I can keep it light
Quick and relatively cheap. Having rear mesh panels at that price is also a huge plus. I really dont care about them in the front of any shelter as I to open front whenever anyway. But the through draft they enable is beautiful when its warm or.muggy.

The main thing for me is how quick it is setup
. I actually did more overnighters last year due to knowing
That setting up would be so easy.
