So i'm a mountain of a man at 5ft 6 and in the market for a pair of winter insulated salopettes. I like the look of the ESPs but not really sure on fit.

What about the snugpak?
I know the trakker ones from the f32 suit are a little short they do cut into you after a while lol
I need to treat myself to a new pair aswell

Are these waterproof? That's one thing i'd ideally want, or at the very least quick drying.

I have some esp ones purchased a few years ago in a large size and they come up big on me especially the trouser length

That's me shafted then. Unless I used the excess for a hat or snood... The snugpaks do look like a nice alternative.

The snupaks are long too mate. I'm 6 ft 3 and the large are long on me. Also not waterproof, just splash proof, but quick drying in fairness.

Only a few inches taller than you mate and I have been using a pair from Aldi for the last 3 years and they have been fantastic. Fit me well in size medium. Warm and waterproof and lasted a few years with me not treating them that well during the period and still perform as well now as they did when I bought them.

Problem with Aldi is their stuff is seasonal and not regularly stocked, right? I can take a peak though, one near my work so should be able to poke my head in if i remember.
Yonny, the snugpaks could be alright as there is a place local that could potentially take them up properly, only problem would be the waterproof knee placement.

I went to add the issue with stock but rushed my post. They have also changed some of the brands they use so the quality may not be the same. Pity as I would definitely buy the same again if I could

Cheers for that. Went for a sent of these, waterproof, quilted and close to half the price of the esps. Will have to wait and see what they are like fit size.

Wondered how these performed? looking at the ESP 25K but for roughly half the price not sure I can justify it?
