Ive tried google but only seems to be ngt that make carp rods in these tcs that i can find. Anyone know of any i may have missed. Im aware of barbel/tench bream rods being possibilities, but am not really wanting cork handles. After abbreviated or full shrink handles ideally. Are custom builds my best option. After a pair.

Greys do their prodigy 1.75lb rods, tbh at these tc's your more likely going to be looking at barbel river rods as that's where this tc makes sense.
Think you'll struggle to find non cork.

If you can step up to 2.25lb then Chub Smallwater may fit the bill

I've Korum Neoterics ,1.75,lb TC Powermesh 2lb t.c. and F.ree Spirit e Class in 1.5lb TC..(all Tench rods)
Of the 3 the F.S takes some beating. Fantastic rod for playing fish in the margins,and will cast an ounce n a half lead with small PVA mesh bag around 70yard mark.(not downside is the cork handle which I don't like,but bearable,j just.

Greys specimen or Barbel, come in 1.75 TC. These are bothe really good rods, I've got the prodigy Barbel twin tip, 1.75 and 2.O TC. I've used it for tench, barbel and carp up to 20lb, lovely rod to play fish with enough power in the but to keep control.

If you use a barbel, Bream, tench rod etc to fish for and catch carp it's a carp rod regardless of what it says on it.

I have the drennan tench and bream rods in 2lb . unfortunately I think they are discontinued but may be available second hand. They are cork handled but could be a good buy on e bay if they come up. Very good rods. As most drennan rods are. An underrated brand imho.

I get that, was more after options that arent cork handled. What doesnt appear to be anything. The ones recomended all seem to have been discontinued, or have cork handles
May just have a look at the darenth valley ones from the tackle box. They are cork, but they are cheap
