Unless they are rotten keep using them and give them a spray
If you want to get rid of them use them in a pva stocking when you cast out as a marker like you would with pva foam nuggets

The thing is is you keep adding liquid over a period of time they will sink .... I found that out the hard way

Over the years I've definitely thrown more pop ups in the bin than in the lake

Pop ups last years

Just keep them well sealed up and refreshed with glugs or sprays from time to time

I take them out of their cheap pots sometimes and put them in a better quality, more airtight clip & lock small tupperware

I have around 12 pots however I'll use them up to two years and I'll then put them to the side tend to blend them into stick mixes after that. Having said that I have some that have sat in gluggs that are several years old that I'd still use.

Crumb them up is a good way to use them up and add to stick mix or pva bag. Gives a nice bit of attraction floating up the layers

That's a really good suggestion, hadn't occured to me before. Unlikely you get through a tub quickly unless you really bag up and changing the bait a lot.

Yes, they do smell a bit, the squid and octopus pop-ups that is.
I prefer to tie my pop-ups on, so like a good hard bait anyway.

Mine have been in a tub in the bait bag for three years I think it is.

I also make a one egg mix of my own Garlic Spice recipe pop-ups myself, and put them into tubs. Two tubs last me a year or so.
Are you sure?
