Anyone switched from Sticky krill to the S7 ? Did it make much of a difference ?
Looking to switch to take advantage of the bulk deals they offer and would like confidence with the bait.
Thanks

In my opinion, other people’s recommendations are not what gives you 100% confidence in the bait you’re using. Catching a few on it as quickly as possible yourself is what will do it. Some people will say that any half decent bait in the right place at the right time will do the business, but in my experience, they definitely show preferences to specific baits in different waters.
I think I’d struggle to invest a lot of money in a new bait in massive quantities that I’d never tried before and then lose confidence in it a few trips in, whilst still having 50kg in the freezer to get through!
Better to get a 5kg bag and see what you think of it and see how you get on.
Ok, so you might miss out on the bulk deal this time, but maybe by the next time around you’ll be super confident on it and can spend and save a load of money on something you know is going to do the business for you.

The lakes I fish are used to and respond to fishmeal, and particularly red fishmeal baits. I know others that will prefer nut based baits. It's a case of getting a history of the lake captures. Why would you serve a Tartar steak to a Vegetarian.
Be different if it makes you unique. Not if it makes you irrelevant.

No, but I wouldn't go to sticky Krill either as I've complete confidence in S7.

However, if someone offered me a load of free Sticky Krill I wouldn't hesitate to use it, as I know it catches a lot of fish too.

Both are good proven baits, as are other Krill boilies. I wouldn't be doubting the baits but only you can decide if they give you confidence.

I would go for the SLK. When I take my dog in the tackle shop he goes nuts for this, rubs himself on all over the bags

Special bait for my dog to do that, doesn’t bother with a lot of other baits

It’s interesting, maybe he is trying to tell me something lol

I made this change in the Autumn last year for the same reason. I had one of my best winters on the S7. I now have absolutely zero reason to change bait.

Great bait. Seems to appeal to common carp as well. Use with confidence.

I was a Sticky Krill user but moved over to DNA last year.
SLK is my go to for most of the year

I used Bug in the winter and I’m mixing a bit of S7 in with the SLK this year on one particular water.

It’s decent bait at a decent price 👍

Citrus orange and spice baits do catch and jaffa essential oil works but I've tank tested these and the feed response is better from the krill personally like the smell of the krill better just catches fish

But if its cost then make sure you get the Evo kit as the salt cured baits and the Evo spice glug is very good along side your baits thank me later

What's the best price people can slk for,?
I don't buy a lot of bait but loath the deals as they always come with pop ups which I just don't need .

That's a good point, they do them as low quantity 1 offs every now and then too, though they last for a while, usually advertised on FB. I've just checked my last order, 28/01/26 and it was £71.96 for 10kg split in 2 sizes, £7.20/kg

I don't often go on FB and I'd forgotten about it.

Have a look on TikTok shop, DNA sell on there and have flash sales now and then (quite regular to be fair) I’ve picked up 10kg of boiles for £60 before (with vouchers) so got 30kg. Generally it’s £68 for 10lg

Recently they had their liquids on a flash sale and I stocked up on the 1L bottles of liquid food for £8 odd which was the same price as their 250ml bottles

I seem to be going against the trend here but nothing would make me move from Sticky Krill. I have had so many fish on this bait since it came out. But it's all about what you have confidence in.

Have to agree, been fishing a long time and don’t think I’ve ever used a bait that works everywhere from the off and also longer term.

I’ve wanted to try s7 for a while. Now I’ve lost my freezer room ive just ordered some shelf life to try, so looking forward to using it. Bought it off tik tok shop the deals are insane on there. I got 20kg of boilies, 2 litres of liquids and 2 tubs of hookbaits for £135 including postage. Cant go wrong for that money.
