Oval brolly + overwrap I would say, it's a bit more flexible. You can use the brolly on it's own for days or nights, then add the overwrap for worse weather.
Don't ask what I've got, too many to list!!

Just bought an esp lo pro for days and its brilliant. Love the design and speed of it and loads of coverage.

Not really 5.2 kg naked
But not overly heavy
I like my fast and lite but they are neither.
Add to the weight the storm poles that are needed even if it's the smaller side ones.

As mentioned below the fast and light isnt actually very light. I sold mine and got a lo pro which i think is much better. A lot cheaper, more coverage and dosent need any storm poles on the side.

I've used brollies for years, I've had groundhog, lo-pro and fast & light.
I've recently changed to a fox frontier lite. It's more spacious and relatively quick to set up/pack away but if I'm honest I still prefer a brolly when the weather allows. Thinking about getting another lo-pro at some point. Awesome bit of list for the overnighters.

Nash groundhog good and loads of space at well under 4 kilo. They come up second hand quite often.

Yep they're pretty low, but I don't mind d the compromise for the weight saving on short trips

+1 for Ultralite - have been using one for years (and keep returning to it over other bivvy/brollies) as its versatile / stable / has a small footprint but is also comfy for taller anglers . . .dont get these silly low 'carpy' set ups - fine if your name is Bilbo . . .

Would you use it for a day shelter though? Pack down length is nearly 2m, its very heavy for a brolly type shelter and you have to use four storm poles every time you take it up and down.
I have one, it's a nice bit of kit but it's a tarts palace of a brolly.
I would look at the Solar Undercover Brolly. Weighs less, costs less and goes up and down quicker.

True - rarely use it for a day shelter if I'm genuinely doing a day (prefer Fox Specialist for this) but it can be used as such (stripped down form) and only really needs the side poles unless its mega windy. . .

Lo pro far too low for me at 6 ft. Took mine back.

These are the lowest brolly I've ever seen, and leak so much you could strain tea leaves with it. Loads of issues when they came out, and unless wychwood have fixed them I'd avoid like the plague.

Had the Solar Undercover brolly for a few years now, since it first came out. Only time I use anything else is on long (3+ nights) sessions in winter. I leave the storm poles attached and it takes 2 minutes max to have it set up.

I'm 6'2” and love my solar undercover brolly in the warmer months. Bought second had for like £100!!
