Sorry if this has been asked before!

I'm after a set of waterproof salopettes that actually keep my dry !

Everything that I usually buy despite often spending good money usually actually leaks !

Anyone got any recommendations? I don't mind spending decent money of they actually are waterproof and last l.

Have looked at the 25k ones fron Esp ? Any feedback ?

Fortis Tundra Salopettes.

I actually don't have them, but a friend does, he loves them. I have the Fortis Marine Jacket which has the same 25,000 HH rating as the salopettes and I've not once got wet, and that has included standing out in some serious rain.

I'm likely to get some of the salopettes shortly, as they are also meant to offer a great level of warmth as well. I'm waiting for some Black Friday deals though

ive had the tundra salopettes for a year excellent.just dont set up in them you will sweat your gonads off.

The avid arctic 50 stuff claim 20k, potentially the best for the price.

I have an avid winter suit but not used it yet so cannot back up their claims yet.

I've got the ESP ones. They arent massively warm but they certainly keep you dry. Had them for a few years now and basically spend a muddy week in France in them. No complaints

I had the Vass winter sallopets for 5 years, they did finally fall apart but I have just replaced them with a Prologic Avenger winter suit which was only £30 more than the Vass salopettes..both are good options.

Anyone know which is the longest? I'm 6ft8" so they usually don't reach over my boots 🤣

Slightly off thread but anyone killing you and trying to dispose of the body wouldn't Get you into a 13ft rod hold-all that's crazy.

Not that I'm suggesting anyone would or should.

The Tundra's are only just long enough for me. I'm 6'4 so you'd struggle imo. The Snugpak jobbies are much longer.... but not waterproof.

If just after a waterproof outer layer, then look no further than Flexothane.

My next pair will be Halkon Hunt Goretex - you can basically get them tailor made, the materials are top end, and they last a long long time.

I have the fox thermal lined salopettes and they have never let me down. Reasonably.priced too.

Flexophane ones are perfect for being totally waterproof . They use them at the airports for runway work so must be good . Unlined so we need to wear warmer clothes underneath in the winter . Highly recommended though

I'm sure gerry ( r.i.p oldgeezer ) recommended these numerous times and I bought a set kdn the strength of his recommendation. decent stuff thats lasted well

I bought Flecktarn as recommended buy Gerry. I bought a smaller set for summer use and a much larger set to go over my Fox Sherpa ones in winter (if that's what the Fox ones are called, can't quite rem).

I wear the Fort Airflex waterproofs .... very good ... very comfortable but you will sweat a lot in them, and it gets very clammy if doing anything remotely active.
