Not sure if these have been mentioned on here before..... Ever since I first made the S2, I have had serious problems with mice. They love them so badly. A single sealed tub of S2 inside a shed can lead to an infestation I have been told by numerous customers. Making the stuff on a grand scale, means the little sods are lining up to get into our shizzle on a constant basis.
It's not just mice, foxes and blu bottle flies are attracted stupidly by the garlics. The foxes will daily come and sit by our back door, sniffing the drain because of the water used for boiling the garlics. For years, I had to clear up fox crap, almost daily where they would sit by this drain every night.
Around a year ago, I got fed up with the normal mouse traps, and decided to try something different. After some research, I purchased four UltraSonic pest control devices in a pack from Amazon. These things have been nothing short of revolutionary for us. They plug straight into a socket, and give out an ultrasonic noise, that deters pests.
First off, these do not bother my dog in anyway. She lays/sleeps in our cabin all day while we are working. They do not bother her at all. Once plugged in, you do not even know that they are there. They take up zero noticeable electricity on our bill either. I was super skeptical as to these things working.
These bloody things are nothing short of INCREDIBLE.
In a year now, we have not seen one mouse, not caught one in a trap. The foxes have stopped crapping by our door daily. More than that. These things create a zone of 200 odd foot. Our neighbour has a pond, and every summer the mosquitos become a pain. ZERO mosquitos. The neighbours cat no longer craps in our garden. ZERO spiders. ZERO creepy crawlies. The only 'pest' these things do not seem to deter, is blue bottle flies. But for everything else, they are simply amazing.
I done a lot of research. Some of these Chinese devices get crap reviews. These ones get very good reviews. They have been nothing short of revolutionary for us. If you have problems with mice chewing your gear.... These will stop the little mofos, make them never come near your garage or shed again. They have a span 200 - 300 foot. Our neighbour with the pond has told me they have not been bitten once this summer. Our contraptions are clearly covering his garden as well. I have a shed 200 foot from the closest device. Not one mouse in that shed either since the day these things were first turned on. You are advised to place one unit per room. I have three of them all plugged in inside our cabin.
I paid £25 for a box of four. Today for Prime members they are only £16 on sale. I just purchased two more boxes of four. They are so good, one is for family, one box is for our place in Brazil to stop the mozzies.
If you first plug them in during daylight, they can look like they are not actually on. A very dull blue light denotes the unit is working. It's very hard to see this dim light during the day. When I first got them I thought they were all broken until it got dark.

A few yrs ago I left a 5k bag at the back of my bivvy when setting up. Woke up in the night to a funny noise but nothing in my bivvy so back to sleep. Next morning bag was in bits and 5k was now about 2k. Lots of part eaten ones with mice and rat sized bites out of them.
Mozzies do my head in as well. 10mtr coverage would be enough on the bank.
Would be a great seller.

Shame the range can't be altered, I like the idea for in the shed but not if it deters a lot of the wildlife from my garden.
Due to the comment below, maybe it's just me but the idea of taking these into the wild wouldn't sit easy with me because they work so effectively and have such a large range. There are easier ways to stop rodents eating bait on the bank and if mice and rats are present the last place I'd have bait it is in my bivvy,

I bought something similar to deter cats from my garden , didn't work at all , in fact they seemed like they wanted to investigate it , and when I saw a kitten rolling in front of the device I gave up 😅

I have no idea. But whatever the technology is, it really works.
If you read the blurb, it says they work instantly for spiders etc, but takes a few days to work for rodents etc. so not really great for a fishing situation for vermin.

I purchased these specifically for mice in the autumn. They work amazingly and have stopped field and house mice coming anywhere near for a year now. The other stuff I described, are just other things which have been noticed since. No ants this summer, normally we would see tonnes midsummer. No woodlice. Definitely no mosquitos. The photo of the zapper... Normally that would be filled with mosquitos and moths. It's not been cleared for two days. Before these ultrasonic things, that same zapper would have masses of bluebottles, tonnes of midges and mosquitos and a couple of moths during the same time period. There are a few bluebottles.... But zero midges or mosquitos. Zero moths. We see zero spiders inside our bait cabin. Not one. On the exterior there are loads, but they will not come inside.
My neighbours on both sides have cats. One of them had taken to crapping on top of the storage bin which contains pre digested. Over and over again for a couple of years. Virtually daily. I had to hose this bin off. My dog would always be chasing these cats, once a week or so. Neither neighbours cat has been seen in our garden since these contraptions were first plugged in nearly a year ago.

I've just plugged a set in this afternoon (thanks Mark) 3 in the house and one in the garage. My dog doesn't seem to have been phased by them at all. She is getting on a bit though and her hearing range might not be what it once was.

Oh the irony....I moved all of my tackle and bait into the loft of the garage a few months ago to make room for a new car. I haven't fished in ages but decided to sort out my gear with the intention of doing the odd evening session and then came the problem.....ALL of my tubs of pop ups had been eaten, mouse/rat droppings and pish everywhere. NOT A SINGLE S2 LEFT!!
I've ordered some more S2 and put down half a doxen rat/mouse traps (after one night and the score is now RATS/MICE 0 ; ME 1) but also now also ordered the ultrasonic devices as recommended.
We have 2 dogs and 5 cats so hoping they don't upset the dogs too much (not fussed about the cats tbh!)
I was going to keep the new pots of S2 in the house but the stupid cats often bring live mice/rats in and let them go anyway so this seems a better solution, thanks for the recommendation.

That's my dog right now at 06:10am Jamie. Where she is sleeping, she has three different units all within 20 foot of her. One is right above her. She's sound asleep. She gets to chose where she lays. She has two beds to chose from. She has no problem with them whatsoever.

I would do what I did and go overload. I have three units in one large sized room. One unit in my kitchen.
I went for maximum overload. It has worked amazingly well for me. I am lucky in that we have plenty of power outlets in our cabin to plug them into (23 sockets). Get as many into your garage as you can would be my advice. Yes you leave them plugged in permanently Belch. They emit an Ultrasonic sound that we cannot hear.
The mice will not come back. Not going on what has happened here.
The road in which I'm in, has a long history of mouse problems. These ultrasonic things have 100% jogged them on from here though.

Really quick delivery by Amazon, the units arrived today, I have put two in the garage.
So far the traps have caught 2, hopefully the units will prevent any more coming in.

Last mouse in my garage traps was about 4 weeks ago, after a period of very heavy rain, last before that was probably the back end of winter. I plugged one of these units in on Saturday and b*gger me had a mouse in my trap this afternoon.

We had no mice inside the house when I first plugged them in Ged. From reading the Chinese blurb, it takes a few days for the rodent side to kick in. That was explained far better when I done some research and read 100's of reviews on all of the different units. They say you should expect to see MORE activity in the first few days. If you have mice that already made your house their home, under the floorboards for example dormant, these things wake them up and get them moving. Lots of people speak of seeing increased activity before the problem stops. It kind of made sense to me. But we had none inside when I first plugged them in. So they just have not come back. I had 8 traps. Since last September we have not caught one mouse in a trap. I've stopped baiting them now very recently for the first time since I moved here. Before last September, every year I was killing maybe upwards of 50 house or field mice a year in traps.
Once they are gone, in my experience so far, they are not coming back.

I'm sure they'll work in the long term Mark. I might rig up an extension so I can get two in the garage. I'll Keep a good eye on the traps for a while.

Says light is a Night Light.
On/Off button seems to switch blue Night Light on or off.
Wonder if unit still emits ultrasonic, if Night Light Switched off.

I bought a cheap set of these years ago, they didn't work for me, a whole later I dropped one, ot split open and there was nothing inside it other than leds pretty much, so be carefull if buying cheap ones!
Hi, took one of these apart, very easy to do, without any damage.
Main thing, little screw under sticker at bottom. Little clips on sides & top, come out with little effort.
Plenty of things inside micro processor etc, speaker etc.
Can't post pics on here, maybe others can.

Get some glue traps, they work far betrer than any traps

Glue traps are now banned for amateur use in the UK. In exceptional circumstances, professional pest controllers can use them but even they have to apply for an appropriate licence.
