I've used both SLK and the Bug. Have confidence in both, though some impressive results on SLK, which is my preference if I had to pick one.

I use a mix of S7 and Bug for most of the year but do switch over to just SLK when the summer months are here

I've never used their boilies. But I do get a window over the whole country, through our customers I speak to into what freezer baits they might be using. Hardly ever heard the other baits mentioned to me.

I've never seen it, but the Bug, has been mentioned loads and loads of times over the past year or so to me, and never a bad word. Always very positive indeed.

Because I have an account with them they have my email address and I get the catch reports come through and a lot of them are on the big,I think a 92lber was on the last report.
Anyway great bait and I combine mine with the pellets and liquids and the insect meal ground bait

That was a brace that totalled 92lb.14oz Neil

MASSIVE 92LB 14OZ NORTHERN BRACE!

I have mainly used SLK and The Bug, currently using The Bug. Wouldn't hesitate to use either.
The Bug went very well for me with 2-3 of Mark's hookbaits last season. S3, GBP1 and GPB2

I'm going with bug and insect ground bait but I'm also trying some packets of soldier fly larvae I found in pound stretchers I'll blend them up and add them to my pva mix see what happens

Have done well OK the bug the last couple of seasons 👍🏼 have tried slk / switch / s7 but for me bug has done the best. But I know most people rate s7/slk.
Nutta was my favorite before it was discontinued

I do need a bait to go alongside bug so will try s7/slk again next year.

Sure I read some people saying s7 had gone down in quality a little when they had to stop using one of the ingredients? Also changed the colour of it

Hmm, I'm not on social media much, is that right? I used S7 from launch to about 4 years ago when I stopped fishing, still got some in the freezer and just took it forgranted I'd order more.
I remember mention of the colour change but thought Jason clarified that as differences in batches of natural products?

I'm sorely tempted to try Bug, if S7 has changed I'd be more likely to.

EDIT, colour info change from DNA's site

Please note: There is now a slight colour change in the Secret 7 freezer paste due to the synthetic dye present in the original red birdfood no longer allowed to be used in fish feed in accordance with regulations put in place by DEFRA. Consequently, the red dye now used is completely natural, which is great, but it means it doesn't hold its colour in the bait as well as its synthetic predecessor.

Whoops just seen this when trawling through threads I generally fish three rods with a mixture of hook baits (Bug/SLK) on two and a bright one on the third. I like to think I'm confusing them but not sure if I confuse myself!

It works for me and six months down the line is still working

Has anyone tried letting one of the DNA boilies sweat it out in bag for few days to increase attraction I have thought about it because last month the bug started to go white and I caught one and lost one, definitely food for thought

I'd imagine S7 would turn to mush if you tried, not the hardest or densest of baits to start with, could be wrong though!

I was thinking the bug as it started to go white during last months session and maybe the SLK as well

I used some SLK that was on the turn on Saturday night. They had gone sticky and a bit of white fluff. I caught one, not sure if it was because the bait was on the turn or despite.

Those baits had been in the bag in my bait bucket for a couple of weeks. I don't use shelf life as I'm happy it does the bait no harm to start to turn a bit. I don't think you have to be overly careful about keeping frozen bait super fresh. I'd rather a turned bait than a bait with preservatives any day.
