Is there anything available thats as light and simple as the LoPro or do i have to hope a 2nd hand one comes up for sale ?

Last July I emailed esp,and they said a new version was being released in that coming September,,, 2022...

I happen to.know,or last time I asked about it,there was a brand spanking new lo Pro,but at 240 quid ,for a discontinued item I gave it a miss,however I also managed to get,again brand new the ultra rare 50 inch mhr compact brolly ,of which I have two,and the dedicated wrap ,brand new for fifty quid...perfect for tight swims etc..

They teased a new version with an insta post recently about someone leaving a lo pro for years at a snide location and they are now due a new one. May be something coming soon.

Ineresting , I'll drop them an email and see if the mk2 is due soon.

Should be in shops end April/start of May i believe. Think there is a video coming out in the not too distant future on it.

I like it alot but it's far to low for me. Maybe they should do a High-Pro

I like it...especially the internal skirt,they are a brilliant inception..similar idea to the Mhr internal skirts..

They are smart ,those lo pros,I found a brand new mk1 ,local to me ,unused etc,but shop wanted 240 for it ,...

I bet those mk2s will sell loads and loads...

If I didn't have 2 mhr compacts,plus wrap ,I'd be tempted...

Prompted me to have a look, have waited and waited for this to be released. Bit disappointed with no rear vents to be honest. Found the solar undercover system on sale for £150 with TFT so have taken a punt on that.

Let the first wave get out there and any issues can be solved.

They've said a few times on their Facebook that the wrap and Mozzi mesh will fit the mk2 so fair play to them for going that route. Wouldn't expect any less from ESP though.

Not convinced personally. The guy seemed pretty reluctant to touch it wothout the storm poles attached.

And not sure why theyve felt the need to edit his torso and arms out of the video

excellent , will be ordering one of these . I've got some long walks on one of my waters so the light weight is a massive bonus .

Would have been nice to have a small air vent at the back for those hot summer days/nights

Cant decided on the esp or the solar undercover brolly.
Any of you guys had the esp mk1 aswell as the undercover brolly ? And personally what would you recommend out of the 2.

Mk2 low pro a bit of a let down for me, only addition I like which the undercover doesn't have is the extended squirt on the rear.

Switching to the undercover system after 2/3 years predominantly using a Wychwood tactical brolly, which is a fantastic bit of kit! Only switching as it sprung a few leaks

Same here to low for me nowadays that's why I went for Hideout which I think is a great bit of kit 👍

I found the original a bit of a PITA to use to be honest. Not too bad in calm conditions, but pegging out in a bit of wind the thing was like a sail with the side sections down.

You also needed a lot of floor area to get it low, so wasn't good in tight swims.

Ended up getting nicked, but I wasn't gutted. Bought the original tempest brolly and much preferred the set up.

Not me but my mate had the lo pro used one night got rid flimsy and to low also extending the ribs seemed a bit of a cheap idea felt a bit like an cheap shelter I fancied getting the mk 2 one but not sure
the solar is higher and has rear vents and had rave reviews

TFT have the undercover on offer for cheap enough to give it a go. I have done exactly that. £150 for the green version, £209 for the camo which is out of stock.

I did the same, it went down to £135 over the Easter Weekend, haven't had a normal type brolly since the Lo Pro

The Solar undercover is a great Brolly. I don't think you'll be disappointed

i have a Older Hide but ive always loved the look of a more traditional brolly.
might be tempted to have a look..

Ive had the mk1 lopro since 2016 used once a week all year round all weathers and never let me down showing its age now though so will be getting the mk 2 soon. All the mk 1 accessories fit the mk2 100%. Personally i think its the best short session shelter out there. Im 6ft 1 and yes it can be low but id not have anything else. On the tidal in the winter set low keeps me warm and dry 👌

My Mk1 Lo Pro still has some life in it so won't replace it yet but will definitely get another one. I'm just over 6ft and it's great for nearly every session except the worst of weather.

Had the lo-pro MK1 with all the add ons, I liked the weight and ease of setting it up but even with my compact bedchair and the sides of the brolly spread wide and the front low the brolly would touch the bedchair at the head and the foot end and the condensation would soak the sleeping bag, if they only made the rear section a touch wider I'd of kept it.

What will it be like setting up in strong winds looks flimsy ? Should have had rear vents as well.

I gave up on my MK1 low pro after 2 nights due to the ends of the bed touching the sides. From memory the fox evo brollys had the same issue. It's the angle the sides comes down as much as the width of the shelter that is the problem with this design. Can't beat the traditional oval with sides IMO.

Weird to read such different reviews. Ive used mine weekly since 2016 and all year round. It does flap a bit in the 2 named storms i fished in but kept me safe and dry. Wychwood compact bedchair had no issue touching sides but im only 6ft1”. They may look flimsy but pegged out right mines been the best allround shelter ive had in over 30yrs. I guess it doesn't suit everyone, i only take bare essentials if i cant carry it it wont be coming with me no barrows thanks. Fishing tidal stretches can be sketchy. Ill get the mk2 someday once my mk1 has totally had it. Rear vents are just unnecessary for my style of fishing. Just new trend but each to their own.

I saw one set up in a tackle shop today and to be fair it looks better than the mark 1.

I've got one.

Not totally sold on it TBH but it is light (though a bit long in transit), has good coverage but i think it could have been better with a few tweeks like a lot of ESP kit of late.

Im a big ESP fan, but the fact it too a MK2 version to get a basic rain gutter fitted on the front is a joke in this day and age

Not much different to a tempest really
How many different versions did that take to get things like
A zip in front air vents etc
Took a mk 2 to get pins put in the legs to set it up properly..
that's supposed to be the “number 1” shelter now.

I don't own a lo pro but it's a basic umbrella with a couple of extras and if that suits your angling then it probably doesn't need much more if and when any of mine give up the ghost I think that's what I will get.

I have a fast and light mk 2 and a tempest mk 1 and chop and change to suit the season and water
For a day shelter I use a korum fibre shield and that's almost perfect for that.
Take the middle pole out and use 2 tent pegs for the storm sides 1 in the back and jobs a good un.
