Bucket all day long if there is loos on site close enough to use when needed I will use them but a bucket and a bag is used when it's really needed I can't see point in buying a bloody bucket with a seat when you got your old faithful bucket without a seat. Plus use it as a deco people will only look once in your “bait bucket” to see what your smashing the lake up with 😂😂😂

One I cheat, the local shop in the village has a toilet which I prefer to use.

If I do get caught out it's in bucket.

I don't fish venues where you can see what the next man's doing bivvys in line's, I'm very lucky in that aspect so I have a foldable spade but I always have a bucket too just incase there isn't a convenient place, of all the venues I'm a member off there's only one with a portaloo 99% are surrounded by woodland and there's only one otter fenced and I don't fish weekend's

Went shopping yesterday (and finally bought a SP C-Tech Low chair for my ageing back) and saw one of the carp life loos in the flesh . . . looks comfy (albeit a tad low for me) and packs down well but is silly heavy for what it is - my 25yr old camo taped 10l bucket (with pipe lagging) is a far superior solution IMO - takes the Tesco 10l biodegradable bags and a large pack of baby wipes perfectly plus it has space to carry spare gas / other items . . .and its not £60

We have a couple of eco loos at my main venue but I rarely if ever use these as my ablutions are always at day break which is bite time . . .

Behind a tree for me.

I'm from up north. If I took the bucket with me, where would the wife and kids do a poo while I was fishing?

Bucket for me, and when I get home, just open man hole cover to sewer in garden and tip it in, wash bucket out with hosepipe and fill with Jeyes fluid till the next time

I have cringed though in the past when someone has come to talk to me and as my bucket has been at bivvy doorway they have sat on it. I just pray when they do that and with the bucket being old, the plastic has not hardened and it splits. Usually these days now, I keep it just tucked inside my overwrap out of sight.

Bivvy loo for me. Brilliant bit of kit. I bought one of those pop up chinese tents for it which doubles as a shower block. It's even in camo so it's like an upmarket carp sh*thouse.

I buy the aldi peddle bin bags for mine, much cheaper than the bivvy loo ones.

Just wack your poo bag in a carrier bag and hang it up a tree - I usually deposit mine in a McDonalds bin on the way home as I like to give back to the corps who feed us poo in the first place . . .

I take a very compact "sh¡t-kit"
I have one of these in each rucky (carp and barbel) and also have a spare (with baby wipes) in my food kit bag and car.
A couple of bin bags to line a bucket, and some bog roll.

The problem with bushes is finding a suitable one and having your eyes off the rods - with a bucket you can regen your guts in peace and in the bivvy doorway; also good for when the punisher in the swim next door inadvertently pops round for a chat - keeps this short and to the point . . .

I have an habit of nipping everything till I'm bursting.

One day I was busting for a number 3 and could hold it no longer, just as I was passing through the bivvy door, one of my rods was away. Once I knew the fish was hooked, I had to play it one handed as I got my "todger" out and had a good number 3 straight into pond as I could not go anywhere else except wee my pants.

Usually though, when I take a dump in my bucket, I turn my alarms off even though they are on a very low setting, then if I get a run, no one will hear especially if they are just walking past and be watching so I don't get panicked into rushing out and I can sort myself out and get my pants back up etc before hitting the run. So far though it has not happened, but one day it will.

Oh Mate, don't.

I was on the island at Taverham Mills cogitating on the bucket at the back of the bivvy when Klaus (RIP) came round for a chat. He was just outside the bivvy door for about 10minutes, and I couldn't move until he had gone. I will never know if he knew I was having a pony and trap, but I was so glad when he went.

Does make sense, I use a 50inch brolly though and unless it's mid winter then without the overwrap. Would be a horrible sight if someone caught me doing that. I remember doing it in to a bag under the brolly a few years back when I thought a run was imminent and it wasn't fun, obviously didn't get a run either.

Rhyming maybe?

Number 2 = poo
Number 3 = wee

A number 1 is a wee, number 2 is a poo and if you manage to snap another one off that then becomes a number 3.

I've got to the stage where I'm really not bothered (crapping in a bivvy at the lake - not generally!) and no I didn't go to private school where communal ablutions are character building / de rigeur; however when you gotta go, you gotta go . . . if another angler turns up when I'm curling one out then its arguably socially more 'uncomfortable' for them rather than yourself - tbf if they continue to hang around and chat whilst its obvs your still 'mid process' then I'd argue they are the strange ones and you'll know they need a wide birth going forward . . .

I was on a quick overnighter and whilst packing up in the morning had a sudden gut lurch telling me that urgent and immediate intervention was needed. I grabbed a bucket of pellet and emptied them out, quickly shoved a bin bag in the bucket and just in time took up the position and had a total renal failure

Whilst squatting on the bucket contemplating what it would have been like if I hadn't made it in time, I heard a clanking sound. As I sat there in the open, as the brolly was packed away , I watch helplessly as a bulldozer, followed by a open backed truck with 4 blokes sat in it, soooo slowly clanked past to an area at the back of the lake which was having some building work done.

I did the only thing you can do when caught in public having a **** - wave at the amazed audience
