Can anyone recommend a decent large size pult for close quarters mass boilie baiting please

Drennan Boiliepult works as standard with the large pouch.
About the only catapult I get on with comfortably, much better than the ESP version.
I do have a Rod Hutchinson Boilie catapult, but I confess I've not been able to test it yet, too many seagulls about.

Would say mass but accurate baiting the Drennan match catty is my favorite catapult.

Hate the hard plastic pouch on the boilie pult , but the mega pult pouch works well on it.
Can't go wrong with the Korda ones either.

Had to borrow one of these when I left mine in the van. Found it awful, genuinely the worst I've ever used and probably the most expensive by a long way.

I personally use the ESP boilie pult & the Korda light.
I had the Jag catapult, tried it with different elastics and it was the worst one I've used. Total waste of money so gave it to a mate. Clearly not a good mate.

Dremnam boily pult,Tacklebox replacement medium.pouch and latex surgical.elastic,cut to the length that suits your style ie ,arm locked spray baiting or low level waist use..

With the right elastic. I used mine for a while with the black elastic and it smashed my hands to bits

ESP particle pull, used one for quite a few years now, perfect for boilies for me
Could be wrong, have a Google or somebody may know, I am sure they do one with an extra large orange pouch too?

I prefer a baitspoon screwed onto a landing net handle for close range. Depends how accurate you need to be I suppose.

Great idea as no where for elastic to pull off, in practice it's a bit crap, my knuckles have only just recovered from last year.

I thought the same with the standard elastic, but put the thicker blue elastic on, and no more sore knuckles

Must be my technique, tried the blue and orange as well. Blue being the best, still couldn't get the distance I was getting with a battered Korda pult.

I bought the JAG pult, with all the pouches and all the elastics.
Don't like it, changing the elastics does NOT affect the bait distance very much at all....so having 4 different versions is pointless.
I like the look, I like the concept...it just doesn't work
I reverted to my little Guru pult for up to 40/50yard baiting with boilies and spomb for particle or longer ranges.
I've purchased a bigger Korda pult (after getting on well with the guru for many years) but I haven't been fishing since buying it, so can't comment on it yet

I agree with the jag pult , great idea but I don't seem to get the distance I can with my drennan or atomic catapult even with the heavier elastic

I think this is my issue, I have a drawer full of pults but always go back to the Guru.
I have a couple and they are like triggers broom, the pouches go, the elastics but I do replace at annoyingly frequent times.
I was interested in this thread (I also have the Jag one) as I had come to an inner peace with my pult issues - this peace was/is
I use small and softish baits about 12mm to 15mm
I don't think any pults will get these over 50 yards so why am I searching
The Guru pult groups well, doesn't overly cane the knuckles
I like a rigid pouch as think it helps grouping
So for me that is probably as good as it gets - I think it's the softer elastics I like on it, so if anyone knows a comparable / better one for up to 50 yards - I'd love to know.
I also have a slight hack - if anyone has the Korum green one. There are a couple of guide holes down the arms - I drilled one of these out to fit the elastic through, with a smaller hole above it (upside down key hole) so I no the elastics attach to frame same as Jag and given the angle pulled it doesn't slip - you can also adjust for range. BUT and this is the rub - I am sad old man that plays with his tackle constantly

Having just started up carping again after the pike season I found my frankencatapult that I created.
Extra strong jag elastic
Korda frame and pouch.
Works pretty well

My Drennan Boiliepult has a smaller pouch than standard on it, so I can fire 4 or 5 15mm boilies, or 2 or 3 18mm's or 1 18mm a longer distance. It also gets used for small handfuls of dog biscuits.
The standard pouch is too big.
I do also use a throwing stick for up to 6 boilies at a time. It seems to confuse the gulls, especially if you bait up in low light.
