CC Moore do glugged bloodworm wafters.

EDIT - just found MJT, they do Krill & Bloodworm boilies + matching hookbaits. Don't know anything about them though.

Are they really blood worm ?
Squash some and smell the resultant mush , if you don't have any blood worm, lift the lid of a cess pit and sniff that instead, and you have the smell.

There is no bloodworm in stickys bait. The orginal owner who designed the bait has told people this.

Sticky used to do a synthetic bloodworm liquid that was apparently the same amino acid profile given of by bloodworm through there excretion. They might even still do it? Used to come in a metal flask.

That's a bait company I've not heard of - who owns that, not much information on the website.

edit: I just looked on the dreaded insta, I believe it is Dave Ball

£62.99 for 5k is pricey and you wouldn't get the bait till February if you order before 9/12

I understand that there is a reason why it is expensive. Just to be clear I've never used it and don't know Dave so my comments here are third hand via a mate. I haven't got a scoobies!

Beyond just saying it's a good bait, do you know why is it a good bait?

And @ £12 + a kilo that's way above what I'd ever spend on boilies. Even in the climate where things have gone expensive.

People will always vote by the means of - time spent on bank - fishing well/on fish and wallet costs against results.
All things being roughly equal to their previous choice of bait or baits.

Quality costs more than ever, many of us home rollers and commercial roller know only too well.

So IMHO We could Pay more for a higher end product, and use less,
or
Pay less for a low to mid range product, and use more, but only if the fish are having it

Personally if all boilies were that price I'd use alternatives. Pellet, corn tigers and so on.

He's also trying to flog pop ups at £25 a tub.
Sadly the bloodworm bait isn't even his recipe. Given to him by a very good angler.

Years ago, in the 50,s to be more accurate, when fishing with my grandfather we became aware of many fish congregating around an outlet pipe of some kind, closer inspection revealed they were feeding on some kind of worm in the mud, they were waving about like crazy and a fish would strike at them and the would retract into the mud, only to appear seconds later and this would repeat over and over, they were not bloodworms, but "tubifex" worms.
very slim and unhookable even on the smallest hook.
many years later I saw them in a tropical fish shop in Finchley and bought some to try as bait, initially they were hard to present, the would remain in a tight intertwined ball and just hung on the hook, but soon as they rested on the bottom they dissipated into the silt.
we decided to tie them into small muslin parcels and place a small cork in with them, it worked quite well but was extremely time consuming to set up.
even later I discovered "freeze dried" tubifex worms and these can be presented much easier and don't go anywhere, fish love them and I still use the occasionally today.
try a half inch cube of dried tubifex worms on a zig, once carp know what to look for they find them irresistible.

If it's a good bait does it matter who's recipe it is? Can't see any claims on the website that he came up with the recipe himself.

If really does have fresh worms in, that is going to add to the cost over a standard fishmeal mix.

Agree the pop ups are stupid money. That's the bandwagon now.
