Can you buy a retractable rod in a test curve under 2lb?

Alternatively can anyone recommend a shorter rod (8ft-10ft) at around 1.5lb test curve?

Do either exist?

Ah. I.just looked for you as I couod swear I saw something on FB marketplace a few times.
Turns out 10 foot scopes at 2.25

The only ones I know of were the first generation scopes which did come in a 1.75lb TC cork handled version, however it was discontinued and the mk2 range only goes to 2.25lb in 9ft or 10ft lengths. I believe they had problems with the mk1s snapping at the tip, which they fixed in the mk2 (perhaps also why the dropped the softer tipped rods).

I have occasionally seen the 1.75lb available on eBay.

Alternatively the sawnoff 6ft cork scopes come in both a 1lb and 2lb TC.

Would you not consider the 2.25lb Scope? I have a 9ft 2.25lb Scope mk2 and find it's night and lightweight little rod for surface fishing, stalking etc. might do the trick?

im after an allrounder for targetting gravel pit bream/tench on lighter tackle and if forgiving enough, Roach .... I would think 2.25lb will be too stiff?

Match feeder rod or pellet waggler.why a short rod for gravel pit ? The drennan acolyte 9ft is very nice with a 2500 reels and 6lb line but expensive .

Look on EBay item number 154562157888 which is for a 9ft 1.75lb scope rod if any good for you not sure how much you want to spend maybe over your budget

There is a darenth valley rod that is 8ft and comes with 2 push in tips.... very versatile for most general fishing and great value

I have the darent valley 8ft specialist quiver with 2 tips the tips are good as there not ordinarily quivers one is rung for float fishing the other is for ledger for around £50 it's a brilliant little rod with a lifetime guarantee I stood and broke a tip rang tackle box new arrived in 3 days no charge just postage

Keep an eye out for Mk1 Armalites on the second hand market. Test curves definitely below 1.5lb, not sure about lengths though. They did 11ft versions I think, not sure about 10ft.

To be honest, I have 12ft 2lbers and they'd be fine for tench/bream.

Korum Opportunist - 2.25lb 10ft retractable and a 12ft retractable in 1.75lb. Look great for money.

You can get a 2.25lb scope easily - but they only do them in the cork handle. Just had a quick scan online and most retailers have them in stock. The black ops rods I think were a limited edition.

thanks for the responses foks ... Really needs to be lighter than 2.25lb and not a quiver rod .... The Korum XTND at 1.75lb is a great shout but would of preffered something 1.5 or 1.25lb. .... I have 1.25lb Avon rods so not an urgent search but like the idea of smaller packdown if i could of got something that extends

They do an x range but 8ft I have the xtnd and there great for price there are good retractable rods out there now better value for money than scopes
