They look similar but they are not. The amazon battery is single circuit with 36w max output for fast charge over 1 device. The wolf one has 45w fast charge and can do this over 2 devices at the same time. Further more there is no way in knowing if the voltage regulators on both are the same. The amazon one mentions nothing of smart charge to insure it doesnt fry the battery, the wolf one does.
Couldnt find any info on the price of the wolf myself but from the spec sheet can see why the wolf pack will be more.
Either way nothing new to the scene if anything looks bulky compared to a slim ridgemonkey vault etc

Is the Wolf worth twice the price though?
Personally I would never fast charge two devices at once so the difference for me would be the 36W against 45W.
I think I'd rather save the money but if you're one of these techy people who goes fishing with umpteen different devices and likes fishing branded stuff then the Wolf may suit them.

I don't need one but bought one anyway as it was so cheap. Long delivery time but I'm in no rush. Used Paypal.
£33.62 including UK tax so if I read it right there shouldn't be any import charges.
If it turns out the Wolf is better for some reason, I can't see the massive price difference being justified.

I'm dubious on the capacity claims of these cheap power banks but there are also 120000mah versions that are cheaper on Ali

I think you're right. If you check Amazon reviews of cheap power banks most people are happy but there's always someone who has taken the time to do a proper test and found them not to meet the spec advertised.
Same goes with individual rechargeable batteries like AA's, only the makes such as Eneloop tend to get near to specs.
I don't expect the Ali Express to meet every single spec quoted but for the price hopefully it will still be a bargain.
It would be interesting to see if anyone does a proper conducted test on the Wolf.

I've never ordered from Aliexpress before but I read that if they haven't posted them by the 11th day they will refund you.
That to me suggests that it's likely they are not in stock and so prevents the seller from holding onto your money?
They add vat at the end of the order, I presume so you don't get hit with import charges. Does this normally go to plan?

I've never had any problems before when ordering small stuff, terminal tackle, PVA etc..
Never had to pay anymore than what was stated on the site. No extra customs tax or anything.
As I say lets see. Pay by Paypal so expect the money to go back into there if any problems.

Yeah mine said that for afew days, says its on its way niw, my guess is it will he shipped once space in a container coming over from china is there as shipping would coat you loads for a single item but when you get free shipping you have to take it when theres room i guess?

TBH I think the stated delivery date will be meaningless. I ordered one on 24/11/22 with delivery stated for today. I haven't been holding my breath, I'd be surprised if it comes this year.

What concerns me is not the delivery time but the price, the cheaper they get could mean they are nowhere near the capacity mentioned.

A friend works at the post office and said and they are so far behind with backlogged post that virtually no chance getting anything this side of New Year

Is there any advantage to these mostly expensive fancy "powerpacks" compared to a decent 12volt sealed battery , similar to a bait boat size,with a £5 usb twin socket fitted.

Just a little update, the usb c charge port is also a fast charge and does work as a fast charge. Charged it up to 100% and so far charged my work phone and currently seeing how many times it will charge my note 10+ but all is looking good

This is what I don't get Andy. If the parcels are somewhere in the UK what has happened to them.
There's a very very slim chance that someone will one day find them in a Royal Mail warehouse and get them sent.
Have they already been sent back to China, would the tracking show this?
It's all a mystery.

Well i recieved the one i payed £55 for the one that i got for cheap still hasnt turned up so today i applied for a refund from ali express. We will see how that goes.

If you go to postal.ninja web site and enter ur tracking details it will tell u where the item is. On 'speaking' on line with AX they advise to go to ur local PO/Sorting office see what the score is and then go from there.

I just have 60 days in my mind, after 60 days they assume you have the item, if you haven't you have 15 days to dispute. Maybe I'm imagining it.

Having 'spoken' to AX yesterday I went to the local RM Sorting Office today and was told the following....The tracking number provided for their systems is not of sufficient length and therefore not recognised. As i have contacted AX a few times now they has prioritised my case for investigation. It's been delivered. As I say not fishing related, it's a LED light controller that's no longer available in the UK so had to buy it from China.
Cost was £4.11 and took 10 days to arrive, I think that's pretty darn good

Mine has been in the UK since 26th December and from there no trace. Had no correspondence and cant request a refund for another 5 days as the seller states its posted. TBF it cost £18 so im not sweating and it was bought as a backup for a second setup.
Just for fun, since I said early in the thread that I'd hold off as don't believe the hype of the specs to ££ of these Ali express power banks in this chat, I've had two of the below delivered next day from amazon for a total of £26 ish all in (for both, not each)

I opened a dispute and they told me to wait. I rejected this and then they told me my package was ready to be collected. I asked where am i supposed to pick it up from as there is no longer any tracking information. I rejected again and received my refund within 2 days.
I've just been refunded. I have had deliveries from ALi express on several items within the allotted time. But I have now had a couple no shows. TBF the refunds are straightforward and you do get the money back less pennies for delivery costs. I've just ordered a smart watch that I've seen selling for over £200 and picked it up for £10. I will wait with trepidation...

Still waiting for refund should have been delivered 20-1 -23 .Got to talk to someone at ali ,they told me as i had put a dispute in with Paypal there was nothing they could do ,but if i was too cancel dispute and wait 7 days they might be able to help .Waiting for reply from Paypal .

I've never had to request a refund or had any other kind of issue when buying online so was pleasantly surprised when I went on PayPal, clicked the 'I haven't received this item' button and the money was refunded in approximately 2 seconds with no questions!

Surely with all companies you have to ask for a refund?
I'll give you an example ebay, if your item doesn't turn up you open a dispute and if it's not sorted you get a refund.
Only time I can think you don't have to ask is when you place an order with a company and it's not in stock.

Having a bit of a nightmare with Ali express. I opened a dispute, where I was told to go and collect it, but couldn't tell me where from. Now they are telling me to return the item I haven't received by 13-02-23, with no option to respond except for me to to give the name of the carrier and tracking number I'm sending it back with.
Had a message conversation with Ali Express customer service. Their first response was that I had to get proof it wasn't delivered. Eventually they confirmed the tracking number I'd been given was invalid. The conversation finished by them telling me I'd have to wait until the dispute finished and contact them again.

Check my earlier post where I got to 'speak' to customer services. There is a YT clip showing how you can bypass the usual customer service page and get the issue resolved. Got my refund within 48hrs of sorting it by this way.

They were supposdly coming from Tescos, Amazon, Norton, UPS etc etc ,Not one was addressed to Darryl but all to Dear @my email address . There was a unsubscribe link but being a Drama Queen wasnt going to chance clicking on it .

Looking at this, my power pack made it to the UK before tracking information dried up. Current legislation prohibits the postage of batteries within the UK without the correct labeling and protection. Do you think this could be the reason why we haven't had these?
