Hey everyone,
I usually do 2-3 night sessions but in October me and a friend will be doing a Monday to Friday session and I'd love to get advice from those who have done this long or longer to prepare for things we may not have thought about.
Thanks in advance 👍

Spare clothes, plenty of water, tinned food or dehydrated, wet wipes, plenty of bait in case they are having it. Good luck.

Are you sure you are prepared for 5 days in a tent, with previous experiences of only 3 days. Not sure you will cope to be honest. An extra 2 whole days?????? Pure insanity
Find a shop near by, and somewhere to shower. Not sure what else you need to consider. Your fishing, in the country of your origin, not making a solo trip to the north pole.

I'm just out now for a 5 day session. I'd say you need to keep warm and wrapped up. Weather is definitely on the change now and you're feeling it at night and at morning.
The other one is a decent coolbox. I'm using a 40L Icey tek. Filled mine on thursday and I'll be bringing it home monday night with ice still inside.
Just think about it carefully before you go.

Work out what you take for 3 days, then take 66.6% more of everything.

Find a pub walking distance from the lake.

Try and locate the fish and fish well when you do. Everything else is secondary.

I've done numerous 3-7 day sessions in all weather my advice
Plenty of power banks or 2 decent ones
A radio
Books
Warm clothing
Plan your meals for every day a week in advance (I do mine at work on my breaks)
Plenty of fluids hot and cold
Plenty of bait
Make sure everything is charged or made night before you go use some frozen bait to keep other things cool
And keep yourself busy as boredom can creep in especially if you haven't caught or seen any fish makes it satisfying if you at least catch one doesn't matter of size
I done 5 days on a small pool in November when I lived in Southampton all I caught was one small mirror but had a terrible incident happen where a guy got stuck in some water and long story short police, ambulance fire brigade came to free him sadly he passed away on the night time

If you're fishing where I think you're fishing, get out to the dressers Arms for lunch on the Wednesday.

I do 5/6 day sessions a lot of times throughout the year, just treat it like a normal 48hr session and just take some extra clothes food and bait. It's not a big deal I really enjoy doing long sessions I don't even bother with anything less than 48hrs lol
I'm actually away for 5 days in two weeks time myself

4 crates of Stella... you'll have to pop down the shops to restock on day 3 obviously.
Take enough for one extra night compared to your normal sessions

I'm off in a few weeks doing a Tuesday to Saturday morning but if my other half goes out on the Saturday before I'm very tempted to go Saturday to Saturday

My syndicate is 3+ hours away, so to justify the fuel costs I do a week at a time, in fact I haven't done anything shorter for about 8 years. I'm retired so time isn't a problem and it means a lot of the time I get the lake to myself.
Treat it just like a normal session and take more of everything - food, bait, power, bog roll etc. If you haven't got rechargeable items like head torches then take enough batteries to cover most eventualities. Now the temperature is starting to drop make sure you have the ability to stay warm. If your venue has no washing facilities take wet wipes for quick refreshes and have a strip wash -you can do it a bit at a time if your venue isn't suitable for an outside ******** in the bowl type wash. Sure it's cold but you soon warm up. Stay clean and you'll feel better for it, stay manky and you'll start to get lazy and fezzing.
Summer is all about keeping food cold and not dehydrating, winter is keeping warm and motivated. We're temperate climate country so it's not rocket science.

Believe it or not the hardest thing on a longer session can be dealing with boredom!
I know you're with a mate, but even so sometimes you may still want your 'own' time.
Take some books, powerpack or charging units for your phone and tablet, so you have things to do.
Every day on any session I walk round the lake, it is both personal time, and fish hunting time.
Foodwise, you can keep meat for 2-3days, so you may need to do a top-up shop halfway through.
Eat healthily, you do not want to be feeling egg bound.
For me that is porridge (I'm lactose intolerant, so make it with water), for breakfast, a tin of macaroni cheese or pasta with a slice of bread for lunch, and a proper dinner at night with fresh vegetables, pasta, rice or couscous; diced lamb, chicken with the rice, couscous or pasta, or a proper bolognese ragu sauce with tinned chopped tomatoes.
I may do steak, mushrooms and saute potatoes, easy to cook together in one pan.
Take enough spare clean clothing, and warm stuff, the temperature is starting to drop as the nights are drawing in.

5 full days!
Im a full time angler, the longest single seesion ive done without leaving the lake is 9 weeks. I do mainly 14 days with 1 night off.
I can still do 2 weeks with one rucksack, one korda cool box and one 5l water.
Water gets re filled at the lake.
Food, well i est one meal a day but do have lots of snacks.
I keep some clothes in the car
I have a Jackery power pack, i can rin that for 2 weeks just doing phone and vape, headtorch etc. If i need to charge say my RT4 then the solar panel will re charge the power pack, if not it only takes a couple of hours to re charge via mains.
All i you really need for 5 days is a bit more food
