Hi, Can anyone suggest a good clear mono mainline?

None are really"clear". And also, different mono's have different properties so knowing what you want to use it for would help

Well as close to clear as possible, White? Light grey?
I just want a close to 'clear' 15lb mono which casts fairly well, sinks wells and is fairly subtle as with most.

Why waste your time with mono better off with fluoro as that has the lower refractive index to start with I'm sure there are ones which meet your requirements.

Honestly, I have just never used it and therefore I just stick to what I know which is Mono.

Unless there's a lot of suspended particles and crap in the water. This stick to flojro more than mono making it stick out like a sore thumb.

I use Daiwa Sensor in brown and have done for years. They also do a "clear" version.

I've used Gold label pro clear in 16lb in the past. Can't remember it giving me any problems.

Gardner Pro in light blend or Gold label Pro clear, neither are really clear but both good around lines.

Well for that sort of range anything will do really, no need for a distance line as such. Gr60 sinks very well, is tough as old boots, has brilliant abrasion resistance. It's not the most supple line about or the best casting, but it will do what you need it to . I use it for all of my carp fishing

Very hard to beat Sufix Advance imo.. They do clear and lo vis green, I used clear for a few years but now use the lo vis as it just disappears under water. Clear lines can act line light tubes, transmitting light along their length, the colouring blocks this..

Been using Berkley Pro Spec blue line for the last year and it's clear really especially in the water. Great line casts and sinks well and no carp tax.
Previous to that Berkley Big Game in the Green but that is also available in clear.

GLT pro clear casts well sinks well I have it in my spare spools for whenever I fish a lake I use big game in clear on the river

I use the RM Fluorocast, had my reservations before purchasing but have to say been very impressed so far, casts well, sinks well and virtually invisible in the water.

Not sure dude I just know it's tough as old boots and I'm only fishing under my rod tips on the river so I'm not casting but the snags can be horrendous and never had a problem

It's alright tbf for a budget line I soak it in warm water for a couple of hours spool up then give it a few casts with a 4oz lead just to bed it down properly and its good to go . Only use the big game under my rod tips tbh so cant say what its like for casting though other than chucking across the river when bedding it down

Not sure if its still available but gold label pro clear was superb. I think you can get gr60 in clear as well which is also superb.
