Any one recommend a good system for my back garden to keep eye on my fishing gear in the shed and my moterbike in the garage some one has had a go at my shed last night but couldn't breake the lock on it

The shed I have is solid mate it's concrete and well locke
up just want to see who it is on the cctv to find out who it s trying to get in the shed for my gear how you getting on with ya reels mate love mine

Hikvision. Get the 8 megapixel ones. Cheap CCTV cameras are terrible and a waste of money. Get them installed in places where they are clearly visible (preferably out of reach so they can't bash them in) in a colour which is clearly visible. Think of them as a deterrent (hence clearly visible) rather than a "gotcha!" recording to send to the police, who tend to be quite useless.

Look nice those Braders, had a google, expensive, might be perfect for me, my shed is under a tree and i have to re-felt the roof every couple of years. Metal roof too?

I've got a Swann system on my house BUT I've just fitted a Tapo system from the Argos at my girlfriend's, with the app she can watch from work and they will record if you add a micro SIM it will also activate an alarm on your phone if enabled ,I've installed a wireless camera outside but also a indoor looking out through a window and indoor one's watching the dog's !!!! for the money I think it's pretty good

Find room in the house to put your gear.
If you can't get all of it in just your rods, alarms anything expensive.
Store it right it right you will be surprised how little room you need.
No shed is 100% unbreakable and I would be devastated to lose my gear
to some lowlife breaking into it.

i've got a hikvision system with 4k cameras installed in my house, i've had it for a few years now and it's a good system, it came recommended by a carp fishing electrician friend of mine who installed it for me

Ive got a Ring camera covering mine, quality isn't the greatest but its good enough. Figured most people will be wearing a hood/balaclava anyway.
Ring do offer Camera that have a siren and a floodlight if thats more suitable.

Another Eufy user here, easy to set up and add to plus you don't have to pay a monthly storage charge for the video footage as it's stored locally. Mine is also wireless so you do need good wifi coverage for it to work properly.
They usually run either special offers of discounts via referral schemes.

I use ring cameras and the video door bell. Mine are linked so if any one of the three detect motion then all three start to record. The cameras do have a siren function but I only use it to annoy my eldest lad. I've got the front camera fitted to a solar panel, so it pretty much never requires charging. They've just done a software update and I find them much more responsive now as they were a bit laggy previously.

Ring do the POE Stick up ELITE cam but it doesnt have lights although people could compensate that with a generic floodlight......

Like most other makes you'll always get those that don't rate Reolink and have their own favourites but after watching some unbiased Youtube videos they seem the best at their price point.

Why would you leave any valuable rods and reels in a shed no matter how safe you think they are? Your gear will have grown arms and legs before your arse is out of bed. The toe rag thieves will more than likely be wearing hoodies so you won't see them anyway - no I'm not a toe rag btw 🤣 and the only way the police will ever show up is if you say you've stabbed one of them.
Don't be the next statistic on here saying can you look out for..... just keep the valuable stuff in your house.

We've got a full Simplisafe wireless system. Alarm, cameras, sensors etc. can add as and when you like, and I pay to have it fully monitored (you don't have to but it's extra peace of mind). Dead easy to fit yourself and it's been faultless so far (had it around 18 months).
All run from an app on my phone as well as a traditional keypad. You can watch the cameras live, check and set the alarm remotely etc.

Along with other possessions I got mine in a secured lock up (well, as secure as one could get i suppose at £50 a month. Easy access outside and home insurance also cover these possessions.

Windows left open all year as weather dependant so the cat could come and go as she pleased and the DPD and post office guys opened the front door to put packages in the house.
Only lock up now at night as just the 2 of us for peace of mind but outside storage all unlocked even car not locked up.
TF I don't live in the south east and other populated areas of the UK.

My mate lives half way up a mountain in Scotland. All his neighbours have a key and can come in in case of an emergency. It's a different world to living in London.
