Just the heads up that wow camping have 6 cans of C500 coleman gas at less than £20 atm, and considering gas might be in a limited supply soon, might be worth topping up?

Sadly Coleman canisters are terrible when nearly empty, the gas doesn't flow out very well. OK in warmer weather but you will need to turn the canister upside down to get the last out.
The best ones I have found are the GoSystem and Primus, upright they will flow until empty.

still half the price of the primus stuff in my local tackle shop, I just give em a shake and accept my coffee might take a little longer. Not the end of the world to me but each to their own. Id much rather have 6 of these than 3 primus

Agree about the Coleman canisters being a pain when nearly empty but the others are just too expensive- think I'll stick with the Coleman's for that reason. Normally wait for a 10/:20% off then buy a box 👍

Doing that doesn't last long enough to make my porridge or coffee in the bialetti or my dinner, and I need my saucepan for that.

I have this gas cylinder heater.. it does what it's designed to do well. Cannot recommend it enough

This week I came back via my local George Sharman Camping and Caravan and decided to grab a couple of GoSysten canisters as I was passing.
£5.50 each compared to £5.99 or £6.99 in a couple of my local tackle shops.

Right for the anal out there, a list of canisters I have used and I think the best to worst, these are all Propane/butane/iso-butane.

I think go systems is a mix of butane, isobutane and propane. Coleman is butane and propane.
Propane has the lowest boiling point, followed by isobutane then butane. Depending on proportions of each the go systems should be slightly better in cold weather.
I just use the big packs of Coleman when on sale and warm the bottle a little over the flame when it gets really cold
