Any use the Aircurves ?

Looking for a bit of a all round rod .
Something I can use on small lakes and also bd able to chuck a lead 100 yrds.

I have them in 12ft 3.25 mk 1 fantastic rods no effort to cast had rave reviews while back lots on here give good feedback a few have said there the best all round 3.25 out there

Best all round rods I've owned, look good and have a good balance of casting and fish playing, I have MK1's dont know how much different the Mk2's are.

Not sure if a bit more than the AirCurves but I have a pair of Harrison Acurix in 3lb. They are great up to about 100yards and great for playing fish on.

mk 1's were a lovely rod - 12ft 3.5's were my favs in the range. Not tried the newer model

Treated myself to 3x 12ft 3lb tc couple of years back and by far best carp rods i've used having gone through a fair few. I use them for all my fishing at home and abroad and they have stood up well to all the abuse i've given them, so would highly recommend.

In line with many of the existing comments, I bought a set about 4 years ago (3.25lb TC) and I think they are great. Most of my fishing is short range but I have used them at range and can comfortably hit 100 yards. They look good and they are lovely to play fish on, so all in all I don't have a bad word to say about them and would highly recommend

Only took mine out a few times but I got a very decent price for a set of 3 X 3.25s before the mark 2s were released. I've had a couple of fish on them and they were nice to play on but a bit stiffer than what I'm used to. They may need breaking in (if that's a thing with rods)
I can comfortably cast 100 yards with ease on a 3oz lead and just under 150 with a 4oz

I have a set of 12 3lb that I've had years. Great rods for playing fish and always been able to cast where I've needed. I brought some century graphenes and feel like I need to use them as they cost so much but they don't play fish as nice as the greys.

Swapped some free spirit e class golds for a set of 3.25 air curves. They are a brilliant rod , go buy some mate..... easy 100 yds and more if you're capable and forgiving under the tip , look good too 👍

I have the 12ft 3.5lb Aircurves, previously I had 12ft 3.5lb century FBS, both are really nice rods but without doubt if I had to chose between the two it would be the Aircurves.

They actually give me more confidence due to them having the power in reserve when needed while at the same time being really nice to play fish on.

I'm no long range caster and I'm pretty sure my technique doesn't look anywhere near what I think it looks like in my head but it's not hard to cast 100 yards with these at all.

I have wasted a lot of money on high end rods, the 3.25 aircurve is the best all round rod I have owned. Almost perfect imo.

The 3.25 aircurve is a awesome rod, the ultimate all rounder.

Does anybody know how the new Aiircurve rods compare to the originals?

Looking at these in the 3lb TC, don't often fish beyond 100 yards, use pva bags quite a bit. Prefer to play fish rather than guide them in on stiff rods. I can see the 3.25 gets more votes but who uses the 3s?

I've got them in the 3's, rarely cast over 100 yards like yourself, good through action rod to play fish with. I've previously had 3.25 and 2.75 tc rods, but for me personally i prefer the 3lb t/c

100 yds is not far and shouldn't be the benchmark for 3.25 tc rods. My 3lb Hutchinson Dreammakers will easily do 100 yds. If you need to cast heavy leads in wind, or heavy pva bags then you need heavier tc rods otherwise. Look at your technique.

I am talking about the mk1 Aircurves now, but can someone please tell me how the 3lb version differs from the 3,25 lbs version? I currently have the 3,25 lbs but I think about buying a lighter set extra. I know the Torrix in 3 lbs had a faster action that the 3,25 lbs and I wondered if that also applies to the Aircurve?

Honestly, if I were fishing mainly smaller waters and only required a maximum range of up to around 100yds I'd be looking at rods with a 2 3/4lb tc.. Ballistas from the 90's would be perfectly capable.

I have the aircurves in 3.25, the mark 2 are exactly the same blank, just cosmetics have changed.
Decent rods with a nice action, they do bend.
But they are v much a compromise rod, if your fishing mostly at 80yards + I would get the 3.5, or look elsewhere for another rod.
