After a decent portable bbq as mine has rusted away

Must pack away relatively small, be good quality and enough surface area to make food for 2. Don't care to spend the money on something decent. Looked at a weber smokey joe which looks great but with fixed legs moving it around a mission.

As always any input would be appreciated

I'd say gave a good look at the UCO medium ,fire pit /grill..

It's great as it can be moved when lit up ,plus the biggest requirement of all us that it does not burn the grass etc,as its off the ground..

Lots of video on you tube .I have the mini,highly recommended 👌

A BBQ is only any good if its got a lid and adjustable height IMHO

What's the Trakker one like. £25 and compact, comes in a tidy case. Don't own one but looks reasonable.

Had one for a few years, served me well.

Would still have and use it but got brought the ridgemonkey

Im a Weber fanboy so for me it has to be the Weber Go Anywhere. I have 3 Weber bbqs/smokers at home, they are bomb proof, my oldest one is at least 15 years old and has been out side every singly day since ive had it and its still going strong

As OG says a lid is essential

Dont bother with the trakker one, or any fishing branded ones for that matter

Cheers for all the responses. Had a look at all mentioned but ended up going with the weber go anywhere. Hopefully it's decent

Another fan of weber products I have the weber go anywhere and its a brilliant bit of kit, the carry bag is essential add on for me makes transporting it a doddle - i tend to use it on 48 or camping trips

Though a cheap n cheerful option is the disposable ones - they are lightweight and do a job for a couple of quid if you arent cooking for loads its a lot easier to just use them make sure you buy a stand for them

yeah bought the bag as well. i am one of those guys unfortunately. everything needs a bag! Hate nothing more then s%*t lying around lol

Yeah already had a look when i looked st reviews. The grill grate package on amazon for it looks the business. Might also add a temp gauge at some point. See how it goes 👍

I've got one of the Webber Go Anywhere Grills and it's brilliant. I use it for family camping trips mainly but plan on taking it fishing this year for a bit of luxury. It's not the most portable thing in the world but it's really well made and will last a lifetime of looked after.

Hi DS, take a peep on amazon for a gasket, the self adhesive on a roll type, loads on there, it makes a huge difference to the controllability of the bbq as it really helps the lid seal and stops airflow or moke leakage on the led, really let's you cook low and slow, or even smoke on it. 3-2-1 ribs are possible if you can control the airflow, amazing when fishing and so easy to prep at home, wrap in foil and plonk on mid morning for a fab tea. Pulled pork, whole chickens even a Sunday roast 😋👍

I use FENNEK portable picnic grill, and take it everywhere. Packs down small and you can buy it with a rucksack and cutlery pack as well.
