Just bought the standard Worldwide today. I should be picking it up tomorrow 👍
A mate of mine has the compact one with the normal 9" legs and the stubby ones. They are very tidy bits of kit. I use pods in deep water and on the bank. Think I'm going to get a bunch of Aqua storm sticks for when I use it deep. Got a pair of 20" Solar sticks too.
Have a look on Total Fishing Tackle as that's where I got mine and save yourself a few quid if you're going to get one as they've got 15% off across the board👌

That's a good point actually, the pics I've seen show three rods,but I'm a two plus one angler anyway ,I can normally find a spot to put my third in most places..

I have had a p1 sod pod for a while now. I much prefer single sticks, but obviously cant always use them. Ive had 3 rod bars on it and had no issues with stability of that assists at all. Imagine the footprint is similar to the mini pod. Ive had it tip on a take before, but that was totally my fault, fishing at 90 degree angles down a margin, and im not sure any pod ever made would have stayed upright for that

Thats mine, been using it for about a year now...( a local guy did this for me, converting a compact p1 )
One mine the 3 rod buzzerbars are also compact, dont think solar will do these...
Love it..its very stable, and very compact.
Always wondered why Solar havent come up to produce these..

Not convinced stability wise, even with the adjustable three rod bars closed the outer reels are overhanging the base by some way.

Mine came with the extendable 6 inch legs, bought 4 stubby legs after...
Then its more stable with the wider legs.
for 2 rod setups its stable enough with the stubby's.

It has if you put 5 inch adjustable legs on which makes it far more versatile and stable also the summit uprights are a lot wider making a 3 rod set up much more stable

Think that I nabbed that picture from Facebook. I do like the look of it, and I do wonder whether three rods would sit on it, but checking the P1 front and back bars they are 9.5, 10.5 inches just like my current set up, so I know they will.
How stable is it when you are fishing locked up, does it move and can it be anchored?

No, the poster ment that the Summit.pod hasn't a ratchet system like the Solar ones have on the legs. Summit pods are set at a specific angle, totally different mate 👍

They've got two anchor points, one on the front of the main bar leg section and the same on the back. For best anchorage I'd say use tent pegs on all four legs 😁

I think you have talked me out of it with your point about stability, my existing pod is rock solid in that respect, and looking at it again, is there much difference from the standard compact WW P1?
I am going to wait until I see one in the flesh and go from there.

Just looks like they have made a good pod worse by making it more narrow and less stable. Unless you are fishing big weedless bowls with the clutch loose I don't get these small pods.
Are the Solar P1 Compact WW Pods any good. I'm in the market for a pod but want the ability to turn it into snag bars if needed and also to use longer bank sticks in the shallow water occasionally.

Don't do it. I sold all my solar stuff to get jag, biggest mistake I ever made. Cost me a fortune to replace it.

I'm thinking about going solar, probably the p1 low profile bundle deal from johnson Ross. Been a matrix patriot user since it came out, love it for its weight and solidity and that it can be used as a snag bar settup when ground allows. Only looking at the worldwide as its more versatile and may get longer sticks to use in water or for fishing tips high.

Surely you can just get long banksticks for the Patriot and do the same thing mate. Do you have the Rock Solid or the Super Slinky version?

No the matrix is a heavy solid pod but really not that versatile, not much use for wading out in 3ft of water setting up between Reed beds.

I have the compact (not mini) plenty small enough and have some stubby legs. If you only ever use 3 rods I'd get fixed bars, as with all adjustable bars there's a bit of play there, I stick with them so can get it a vit more compact if using 2 rods sometimes.

Is anyone able to tell me the weight of the P1 Compact Worldwide pod system with 3 rod buzzbars please. Can't decide between this, the Matrix Patriot Pod system of something else. The price is swinging me towards the Solar as I can get the pod and 3 rod adjustable buzzbars for just under £350 delivered.
Will the solar pods take any buzzer bars or do you have to use the solar ones. I have the Neville swan neck 3 rod bars and would like to keep them

The solar buzz bars are 3/8" i dont know what dia your neville swan neck are but the standard neville adjustable bars are 1/2" and dont fit also the jag are 1/2" and as mentioned dont fit.
Its a shame that solar changed the design of the uprights originally they had the drop in goal post converters attached via 3/8 thread which meant their original chunky drop in converters and also summit tackle's converters could be fitted to enable the more common 1/2" dia buzz bars to be used on the solar pods

It is a proper solid bit of kit....

Minimal play in my solar adjustable buzz bars.
Anyway the mini does look nice but I wouldn't change from the standard one. Having owned one for 17 years I am quite happy with what it does.

Been using a solar worldwide for years !! and the first real concern i would have with this mini pod it is stability as the standard size worldwide will blow over with a side wind pushing though never mind this mini one.. i can see that going over if your fishing the margins

Think I'll just pick up a matrix rock solid patriot. Will stay up in the most violent of takes or wind, I can use it without the main base as a snag bar set up and if I want it set up in the water I just get 4 longer bank sticks.
