Don't laugh, I got a £20 angling direct umbrella 3 years ago , light cheap and nasty but is ok, if its blowing a bit I put a couple of guy ropes on it

Just get a standard 50” brolly, preferably one where you can put the pole at the back. A bit like the one I'm sitting under now.

Fox specialist is unavailable now but a very close second some folk say its better and very popular with river anglers is the brilliant

You might want to invest in a Brolly Spike, also, depending on where you go, but mostly ground is softer from now on.

I bought the Solar Undercover 60 inch camo brolly and it's been fantastic. You can screw the centre pole into the side like the wavelock brollies and there are two screw attachments for securing it down with some 42 inch bank sticks/storm poles. I've had no problems in heavy rain and it also comes with two T-Pegs for securing down the rear of the brolly.

Have a look at the sonik axs brolly, huge .... Been sleeping under it most weekends since April, brilliant for days , does need storm poles if it's a tad blowy

. . .I've got a Fox 45 and its a great bit of kit . . .was torn between this and Korum Graphite (which is a fraction lighter IMO) however getting storm pole caps for the important upper front ribs is impossible as they are a really thick diameter on the Korum, let alone getting them out of their respective rib pockets. A brolly without the ability to tie the front down with caps/storm poles is a waste of time IMHO . . .Fox do supply these (at additional cost) and they take seconds to fit hence my preference.
Just don't know why both manufacturers simply fit them in the first place!

A reason for why I went for the solar undercover 60 inch brolly was because the storm pole attachments are already on the top ribs. All I had to do was buy two storm poles/suitable bank sticks. 😁👍

Not really, it fits in my rod holdall with ease, it's actually lighter than a traditional wavelock brolly but with a bigger canopy cover so win win in my opinion.

. . .agree - ditched my brilliant Wychwood HD50 which was reserved for days only (carping) as found I was using Fox 45 everywhere - rivers and lakes . . .
