Yeah.. I believe he has agreement to fish any area of the lake no one else or very few can fish.. no doubt some people will see a negative in that...
Fair play to the man. Couldn't of happened to a nicer chap..

It's just a separate smaller syndicate for one area of burghfield. If anything, a huge disadvantage when the fish aren't within reach and the rest of the lake is out of bounds because of the main syndicate... look at it either way.

Ah ok, I'm pretty sure in the Korda podcast he said it was a very small syndicate in one area rather than exclusive to him.
Either way, if it's 500yards away for half the year, having only one bank/area would be a huge disadvantage.

Amazing how fews posts there are about this capture, compared to when greg ellis when he had it, people were queuing up to have a pop at him. Wether you agree with how he did it or not, shows how society is much happier having a go at someone, than they are wishing them well.

I was also thinking how low key this capture has been compared to the previous. Cracking fish in a difficult water so great effort. From the small bits read there is a lot less controversy around this one and you know how people are attracted to controversy

Especially those that have never pulled any strokes. I would be amazed if theres anyone on burghfield not pulling strokes to be honest

The thing with characters like Gregg Ellis is he does like to stick his head above the trench. And some people being like they are see that as a golden opportunity to have a pop.
Where Simon Scott on the other hand is the total opposite. Quitely going about his buisness. If it weren't for his commercial ties I doubt we would of heard about the capture.
As wrong as it may sound. Simon's capture is just another fish on the bank.

I heard it was seine netted from the out of bounds with 2 out of season bait boats. Could just be rumours

He had a bank to himself along with another but good angling in my book to secure that quiet bit of fishing, before that he was trudging the "other side" for 10 + years in pursuit of that fish. He done the hard graft.
Difference with Scotty he doesn't have to shout above the roof tops for a free tub of pop ups and packet of hooks, unlike others that have caught that fish.
Great bit of angling to a top bloke that had a game plan and stuck to it.

The amount of big fish which he has caught is just ridiculous and he never seems to be the type to brag. We always go on about Old Skool values, well he exhibits them perfectly and fishes for the right reasons. I've never heard a bad word about him....which is unusual!

Its different i think, because having that bank almost to himself isnt pulling a stroke, he has worked hard to work things into his favour.
No-one (well not many) people moaned at Laneys capture when he got permission to open that other swim. And its because of the way they conduct them selves. Absolute class acts working things to their favour.
There are a lot of loud shouting egotistical bleeps in this industry and people will never need much excuse to call them out. Its their own doing.
