Looking to get some plastic storage boxes/containers. Ideally at least one that is 160-170cm in length for the bivvy. Anyone know of any outlets that might sell these? Google not been too helpful thus far.
Anyone else paranoid about mice and rodents in general attacking your gear? Got some little nippers but the cheese keeps disappearing off the pin with the trap still set. *head explodes*

B&M ,type in storage box loads of sizes, put boilies on your traps they can't pull them off easy I use old pop ups in the garage traps

They do a range of the ones called really useful boxes.
One of them is like a long trough and long enough to store a tempest brolly longways.
I use mine to store 2 x tempests with a bit of room left so bits and bobs like landing nets / storm poles.
I originally purchased mine to store a Xmas tree but it was too good for that.

Keep mine in the house because I have had mouse issues in the garage, much to the wife's delight.
FYI, Little Nipper mouse traps are pretty good mouse traps, in the garage, I use a bit of chocolate smeared with Nutella. It never gets nicked without the trap going off as the Nutella makes it a bit sticky.

Slightly off topic but some mouse traps can get rusty and are far less sensitive. If you can get a stainless steel set, they survive the rigors of a damp garage far better. Also, a dab of oil on the moving parts keep them in tip top condition.

Thanks for that. I had a look at these before and they only go up to 120cm in length. I need at least 160cm which is why I'm struggling to find anything online.

Have a google for "Euro containers" - some come with lids and are almost identical to the ones Aqua sell but without the sandy Vaseline arse raping prices.

If you're storing them in a shed / garage hanging them on brackets on the wall horizontally and off the floor helps with mice issues . . .that and brushing / cleaning them down thoroughly prior to hanging. Even the tiniest amount of boilie crumb / bait residue can attract the little buggers . . . add plenty of traps immediately below and all should be good.
An expensive but guaranteed alternative is trying to source 2nd hand metal 'school type' lockers . . .tempting but expensive if you've got more than one bivvy / rod bag.

My biggest bugbear is storing bedchairs - still yet to find the optimum solution . . .they always seem to get damp / mouldy / chewed at the crease . . .

Keep as much gear off the ground, little nipper mouse traps and peanut butter does the trick ☠️

I always use boilie paste too...the peanut butter is for me!
Paste is many times better than just a boilie...gives off more scent.
Also when you're using the trap near the bivvy you can smear a tiny bit into the mud between the rats run-route and trap...just to get them looking. Then they find the trap and wake you up.
I recently got the metal traps from ScrewFix. I think the rats are more suspicious of these...had more 'bites' on the wooden based traps.
