The new catapult looks very good,it has interchangeable elastics and pouches.I think it is £24.99 for the catapult with medium pouch and elastic,you can buy pouches separately at £6.99 and different strength elastics at £5.49

I must admit I was just looking at it on Facebook, I like the way you can interchange it for different scenarios. I think I'll be buying one at that price it's not to bad tbh

I was just about to make a thread on this, not surprised one's been made. Seem to have got some ideas which make me amazed that no one else has thought of them. The elastic running through the pouch minimising connection points which (as we all know) are an absolute nightmare - ingenious. So long as the frame connector point works as is displayed in the video I've no doubt this will take over the market.

They are very good. It's mega handy to be able to quickly change pouches. Also you know how annoying it is if you snap an elastic on a standard pult and then one side is shorter than the other. Well obviously on this if you don't have a spare elastic you can at least pull the longer side through more.
I'd like to apologise to Braders when he was punishing me for info a few weeks ago and I told him it was a soon to be released Jag cock ring. That's later in the year.

Probably comes down to cost. There's a limit to what people will pay for a catapult. If that was cnc Ali I bet it would be about £70.

Possibly only need an adapter for a hook sharpening handle to connect a fixed two rod buzz bar then machine two upright pieces with the slots and rollers , bingo !! 😀

Nice idea but in reality for a typical overnighter how many times will you need to change the pouch and if you want to go a little bit further your probably going to just pull the elastic a little bit harder.

It's not just about distance. It's about using the catapult more intelligently to put out different baits. Let's say you've got an over hanging tree spot for instance. If you've only got a boilie pult with a tiny pouch that's gonna be an arse to put out hemp or pellets. So you either carry multiple catapults, or do what most people do and just put out boilies and forget the smaller food items altogether. Maybe actually you'd like to put out some balls of scolded pellet with particles. Or vitalin balls. These are all tactics that used to get used a lot but have fallen out of favour. But a lot of successful guys still use these types of baiting approaches. One guy I know of absolutely emptied a very tricky colne valley water using ground bait balls. Admittedly he was using the Nash flinger thing but the principal is the same. Loads of guys have a spot at range that they spod a big mix of food items to, then their close in margin spot they just throw a few handfuls of boilies out cos that's the only bait application they have. But they'd never dream of doing that on their long rods.
Being able to quickly swap pouches gives you more baiting options. When was the last time you used a big spread of sweetcorn that wasn't either in a spod mix or at under arm length?

You've kind of illustrated my point there. I carry one esp catapult. So to answer your question. In my case never. I'm not gonna carry three different sized catapults just in case. And with the One-Pult now I'd probably still manly use it with my preferred elastic/pouch combo. But if baiting differently nicks me an extra fish then that 30sec change is worth it.

As a constant medium range pult user I go through elastics a lot. Taking the 2 break points off, decreasing the other 2 and also sorting out the problem when it does break you have different lengths either side, this is a winner.
All the faff about different scenarios is true but the first bits alone make it a game changer IMO.

I think this looks absolutely brilliant but the proof is in the pudding. I've tried every 'pult on the market and they're all a bit rubbish in one way or another. Defo be trying this one.

the way I see it is,yes it's a little bit more expensive, however I always carry 2 cattys now,a esp one which I spend more time untangling the elastic as it twists badly on every cast and the rest of the time trimming the elastic back and trying get it over the bloody brass prongs and stay on...currently held in place by 2 cable ties, and the other catty is a drennan match catty for firing sing boilies accurately.
if this can do both of these scenarios without the bloody twist off the esp pult then I'm in

The new korda katapult does not twist due to the swivels fitted in the frame.This jag one is very well designed and has probably been properly tested not like most companies who let us test their products

Theres me using my catapult to get bait out, if more distance required pull back further if less distance required shorten pull back! Who'd have thought that i was doing it wrong all these years by not changing elastics for distance required.
Different amount of bait required either fill to brim or just a few boilies. Thank god i can now change cups for amount of bait.
