Hi,

Sorry if this question has already come up a lot but I just wanted some fresh recommendations please!

I am after a flat, lightweight bit comfy bedchair.
Budget of around £150

I've got the Tactical X and use a 10cm sim (bad back) and the Snugpak Fortis bag, and both will fold up in the bed.

Without doubt the trakker superlite knocks spots off these cheap ones I've had both I wouldn't want to buy a bed then have to buy a sim to make it comfortable

The SIM tales comfort to a whole new level. It's one of the most effective ways to spend your money imo in terms of value.

Agreed, even the most expensive beds can be improved.

Yeah also have the Helium it was a game changer for me.

Trakker rlx superlite is very very light and flat, I've had mine for a couple years now and it's in perfect condition still

Another for the Trakker RLX6, extremely light, plenty of support and like most things Trakker I have got built very well 👍

Whilst ME SIM is quality its a little bit narrow at 510mm . . .measure the flat area on the bed you've got . . .

at 610mm it fits a STANDARD Tactical X bedchair perfectly (between the perimeter padding) . . .it was also £16 . . .

Wychwood Tactical X compact is an excellent bedchair.
I am 6 foot tall and almost the same wide, weighing 15 stone.
As said before, a helium 3.8 mat on this bed is comfortable and still light

Anyone used this with a sleep system? If so, how did you measure it out? Flat bit on the bedchair or to the edge of the zip?

flat bit ..................nobody sleeps on the raised edge as nobody is that wide also it stops it moving about

I agree trakker rlx or superlite no need to faff around with sims well made to

Another vote for the trakker RLX superlite, very comfortable and lightweight and for the price you can't go wrong

Finally found a shop in Belgium that sells Wychwood, asked him about the Tactical X bedchair, but the shop owner told me to go for a Trakker Rlx or Solar, these are much better quality according to him

Bs or not?

Solar Sp high dimensions is okay for me the Rlx is too long.

As I said in earlier post the man in shop is right trakker is a lot better wychwood hard bed and cheaply made theres lots of people buying sims to make the wychwood comfortable tbh

Honestly buy something of quality buddy. You going to appreciate it in the long run...

Maybe squeeze in a few extra greens and go for the high end Trakker beds or Nashys. If not seen a Solar bed yet, have never seen or heard a bad thing about any of their gear. Might be a good option 2

Whatever you choose still get a sim👍🏻

Quick question about the SIM. Doesn't it make the bed feel like sleeping on a blow up air bed? Don't you lose all the lumber support of the bed?

I have used a SIM for 20 until I purchased an Avid Restbite since then I've never felt the need for one.

in winter much warmer and and an increase in comfort level

I initially bought my sim purely for insulation after studying all the pack packer forums I learnt the following
.............air beds do keep you off the ground but very poor insulation properties
closed cell mats do offer good insulation but can suffer with condensation in cold weather resulting in getting wet

SIMs best of all as good insulation and no real condensation as they breath at LEAST the one I use does...............cheaper ones may not ??
and to my delight I found my already comfortable bedchair was even better ! and I can leave it on in the summer without sweating like a rapist win win

I actually like the hardness of the Wychwood X (compared to the expensive and saggy Nashy Indulgence beds I'd had previously) however after adding the SIM as per Gerry's recommendation (for me at least) it takes the comfort to another level. . . .

personally found them to support your body weight better and not noticed any negative lumber impact.

Breathe - I have the trakker one, and other than the winter, all that does is breathe f'ing fiery body heat back at me.

Yours have holes in it Oldman ? or a breathable coating ?
