I need to replace my solar strong arm line clips, can anyone tell me the size I need for Trebs as I can't remember.I think they were 14mm.Just out of interest has anyone found any after market clips better than the solar ones?Not that keen on the delkim ones.

Stick to the solars mate, I've tried loads including the Greys/Gardner and the solars are the best.

The Cygnet ones are okay and will probably fit your trebuchet. Cheap as well

@Muz, I checked my purchase history, it was 14 mm I got for the Treb Lights, not sure if that helps or not

@DenzelLN - a few reasons.
They give you better bite indication as the pivot point of the line runs along the blank vs. from the bail arm (basically lets the line sit at a better angle).
They keep the line taught between reel/blank even when fishing really slack.
They can help with snag fishing in that you'll see the line pull out of the clip when fishing locked up with bowstring lines, sometimes well before the alarm registers anything.
Some guys believe they aid hooking on a bolt rig (I don't buy that personally).
I use them to gauge the severity of liners. If the line stays in the clip I'm happy but if it pulls out I'll assume the lead has moved and I'll recast.
They tend to keep the whole set-up tidy too.
I have them on all of my rods, I rate them highly.

I like the Gardner ones because line runs through them and you don't have to clip them in..
(easier to adjust).
Not sure if the others do this, I know the Delkim ones do..

Why did i think this was going to be a thread on weight lifting to build up muscles to be strong enough to compress a Treb...... 
Delkim smart clips are decent ........but has mention the solar ones are the best👍🏻

Go to B&Q and buy a metre long piece of solid fibreglass rod. Cut some 40mm bits off, file/sand the ends as required and tape/whip to the top of the rod blank in your preferred position. Very line friendly and cheap as chips.

Look out for some poultry leg spirals, they make brilliant line clips and they are mega cheap.

I got some from Keith from Defiant mps.
I tried really hard, putting them in different positions etc but I couldn't get the line to pop out a lot of the time.

The Gardner or Greys ones with the rubber O ring work well on thicker blanks. They were no good on my previous Fox Horizon x 3.5lb due to the low diameter blank but fit perfectly on my Infinity X45's

From what I can gather the lite butt section and tip are slightly different?I don't want to start a debate about cod sticks casting etc there a tool for a job I know they've been designed to be made easier for people to compress I'm just curious from light owners when you do drop short from time to time especially with bigger fish how they behave compared to the full trebs?
