Thinking of using up some basemix that's been in the garage a while to make some monster crablike boilies as a local lake seems to be doing very well on the nashbait version at the moment. From memory the basemix is the cm60 stuff from quality baits (think that's right).

What's the crab flavour or similar flavour I should be looking to get. Maybe any other little additives to give it a punch?

Marmite...interesting that.

As a side note probably going to need an orange colouring too

I think an approximation of monster crab will probably suffice. Fished yesterday and they definitely liked the instant action variety that I picked up Friday.

I will get the John baker flavour, some orange dye and marmite, already got some nb acid somewhere and have a crack with a small batch. Thanks for the advice.

Make your Bait outside, or leave the windows open afterwards 🤣

marmite sounds interesting, I imagine brewers yeast gives that flavour profile if used in a basemix?

Yeah I've already had that conversation with the mrs. My bait making area is in the garage with front and back doors open.

Good luck with it, I think you get a bigger buzz catching with your own rolled bait.

One place you could definitely look Is in my flavour drawer. You might find it nestled next to a bottle of his Scopex.
