Firstly hello all, I've been a lurker for a while but decided to create an account.
I've currently got a Wychwood solace 42" landing net but looking to upgrade.
My budget is around £100, I've had my eye on the Gardener dual reach and a couple of the Trakker nets,

I had the Dual reach, it's not that good, do you need an extra long net or one that you can use in a boat so two part? Double your money and go for the Century net or look at the Matrix tackle options.

I have the esp ones x one is extendable and cannot fault them.
Would confidently recommend them

I've got the nash pursuit 42 and it's a bit fiddly to put together and handle flexes too much especially when fishing a weedy lake so unless your ok with this I would probably steer clear

I have 3 nets for different set ups, a proper high end dymag mk3, a terry hearn net and the sabre carbon 2 piece handled one and whilst both much more expensive nets are beautiful bits of kit the sabre one constantly impresses me as it was only £50 but its light, manoeuvrable and compact when disassembled, I've dragged it through bushes when stalking its been stood on multiple times and is generally abused but still looks and behaves like new.

I've made a 'DIY' net using the matrix 3k handle, freespirit shallow mesh, bulldog arms and weston developments block. Would work out at about £150 to make, is plenty stiff enough and only weighs in at 575grams (will be 540g when I swap the handle for one from defiants). Not sure how the stiffness will compare to the dymag mk3 but it will be basically the same weight at half the price.

I bought the Trakker EQ one a while ago and it is garbage. However, i replaced it with the Sonik Vader X two piece handle one and think it is excellent value for money.

It looks like I might have purchased the non carbon one but for the price only time will tell if it's any good 👍

I stick with Prologic nets, they are always easy to take apart after landing a fish.
Mine has the plastic spreader bloke, does its job thou.
Will end up as a spare, the full carbon with small spreader block looks proper smart to be fair

Just seen my mate one of these, it looks very good for the money and he has had it a couple of years, not quiet as stiff as my carbon one but undoubtedly does the job well, looks like a decent no frills net at a very good price what more could you ask for

Hi I've been on the lookout for a net for a while. I'm pretty sure I read about Solar bringing out a cheaper version of the bow lock, think it's called the 'A1' and will retail at £150.Anyone else seen it?

Saw it advertised somewhere as in stock the other day whilst browsing - it is called the A1 bowlock. From the description it sounded the same apart from the block not being stainless - although I am sure there must be other differences to justify the price difference.

Was looking at the tacklebox one for £65. Don't hear many reviews but the people who have them seem to rate them.

From my own experience, most, if not all landing nets are proper s**t. They're either far too heavy with daft materials like stainless spreaders, flimsy as f**k that bend double just dipped in the drink, nutty heavy handle's that needs two to lift a fish out of the water, or a combination of all the above.
There's a chepo two piece handle net that JRC does - 50 or so quids - that is pretty decent, but my favourite is Terry Hearns net as its got decent arms that don't bend too much, is nice and big and is light. I did ditch the handle on the Hearn net and replaced it with a Gardner extending pole which works out very well. I've also got a Dymag stalker net with the 3 piece handle, but I don't use it much as it's far too posh and I don't wanna get it pinched, though it is the nuts as is Dymag tackle generally.

Weighs roughly 700g
Is a decent net for the money, I took the chance as I'm buying back into fishing so did what I could to keep the initial cost down, and can't fault it.
Before I sold up I had the JRC roamer x-lite with the folding spreader which was double the price of the saber one but functionality wise the saber wins hands down

For £100 i would go for a chris brown glass net. Rigid and bulletproof. Theres only two nets i would ever buy and thats a dymag net and a chris brown net.

I just got the dream maker from there, it's unreal. Never saw the point in expensive landing nets but I wouldnt use a cheap one again. Would have been worth the £150 retail price

I've had my Nash dwarf telescopic net for over 5 years now. It was tight off the block when I bought it but cut the string and re tied with a length of lead core so it's maybe closer to 46-48” now and a lot looser. Not sure on their prices these days but I give it a thumbs up

Ive one of the new sonik ones the one with the retractable net arms and telescopic handle so far so good im yet to see anything that packs down as small!
Its smaller than my greys 9ft 3 piece when there packed down!

They only came out last month well worth a look buddy
I have a large round pike net with a tubular surround. Everyone had them on an old syndicate I fished as it was very weedy and the round net doesn't collapse like traditional nets. It just pushes through the weed and scopes up weed and fish. I have replaced the pike net with a solar one and It does the job fantastically. I think it was an efegecco one? But a quick goggle and there are a few about.
Only downside is carrying it but in my opinion it is worth it. If sits on my bedchair on the barrow so not to bad. Caught me a few fish in weedy lakes where traditional nets would have collapsed.
Funny enough saw this on Adam pennings latest video. Bonus is the price.
