I have broke my free spirit landing net, I have spoken with free spirit it can be repaired but will be shorter. Before I broke it I always struggled with the length and have since been using a drenham twist and lock which has been brilliant. However I'm looking at purchasing a new handle, anybody know of a decent longer handle?

Don't know if your net will fit but give Graeme a call at DYMAG, Stalker net handle breaks down to 2 X 3ft sections and order another middle section will make it 9ft, with the option for 3 different lengths. For boat, normal bank and extended
Not cheap though but worth it

I use a drennan twistlock and can't fault it, it's so good I've actually got 2

I have an esp sniper you can twist it out from 6 to 8 foot. Keep looking on eBay for another but they seem to be like gold dust

Rod Hutchinson Dreamaker net has an extending handle.
Another vote for the Drennan Specialist twist lock

I have the Harrison 2piece chimera very good net handle, lasted me years so far, strong as anything. Covers all my angling requirements, I have 3 piece that takes it to 9ft

How long you had the chimera net was in harrison on Monday and asked over a 2 piece 3 foot 3 foot and they said no noto for about 18 months 2 yes and there to busy for a one of

Got to try and think now, possibly 14yrs, got it from yateley angling after the 3rd drennen twistloc failed on me and got fed up replacing them once per year

I'm currently on this one from Gardner. decent looking, well made and cheap for what it is. 8ft for bank work and also 4ft for out in the boat.

I also use the Drennan Specialist Twist Lock 3m. You could try asking Keith at Defiant MPS if he'd do a longer version of the new pole he's doing.

Second the Drenon, spot on for when the water level is getting low on lakes, easy to extend and shorten as required. Yes it's obviously heavier that a single piece 6' pole but fine.
