They use propylene glycol. Usually in the mix and then also thinned with whatever flavour and water soluble betaine then coated after rolling.
I believe doing it this way they can air dry them for a similar time as freezer baits leaving a softish bait that wont go off.
rather than a rock hard dry shelfie of times gone by.
As to which bait you should go for thats entirely up to you and it needs to be something that suits your situation.
Something that kicks out a hard hit saying 'im here' for short sessions or something subtle but very much nutritionally based for campaigns or even longer sessions to keep the fish coming back rather than snatching an inquisitive fish or two.
You wont go wrong with Sticky baits Krill to be fair. Well proven.

This is the banner on their homepage. Sad times as it is decently run shop tbf.

Fuji DPS 20. The DPNS 20 tends to be a tight fit.

Daiwa reels are notorious for having bulky reel feet and as stated below
the rod you have chosen is a specialist rod and has likely got a small seat.

Get them pal without a doubt.
I have them on my
- Hi-s 2.5lb
-Hi-s 3.5lb
-Hi-s 200's
-Torrix 3.25lb
-Harrison 1.75lb specialists
All my rods have had them swapped over to Minima 4's. They have transformed the rods
into precision weapons which are a pleasure to use and hold. Without the extra weight they
feel completely different and more of an extension of the arm. Highly recommended....

A joke aimed at me that didn't really make any sense which attracts numb
heads to jump on the band wagon. Had it done to me countless times on here.
Been there and got the t-shirt. All it does is put people off making constructive comments
on posts. Less mentally prepared folk would think of it as 'bants'. Its not.

No. They arrive cooked and dry in a bag. I remove them from the bag and put them in a bucket.
Do you pick them from the bag whilst your fishing smart arse.

What I do with mine is fill up a bucket with tigers and cover with water
then add a whole bag of light brown sugar. thick and gloopy within 3 days of being in the sun.
Then re-bag them with handfuls of the slime.
