He does seem to have a very confrontational attitude. Quite aggressive, in your face type of stuff. That being said I actually Find some of his videos fairly entertaining.

think hes a v good angler, at first he comes across a bit essex boy, but after a bit, you can see he puts the work in, and so gets the results, i think some people get a bit envy with him and neg him, bcos hes got a nice bird, cars , vans ,free bait,tackle etc, plays grime in all his vids,
and people who dont have these things sometimes find it easy to hate on, but he can catch carp in hard waters, even in deep winter,and he doesnt let them put him off,

I noticed his Nazeing meads video online.
I fished Brackens and the North lagoon with Dave Thorpe in the early 90s, a great complex of lakes back then.
He did well on the south,... centre and south were never easy waters.
He made a comment about people posting negative posts about him, he referred to them as being jealous. I think he'll find it's not jealousy that he's catching but the fact that he is naming the venue and making a YouTube video about it,.... Can you imagine how busy it will be this winter because of his need to promote himself.
Just imagine he comes to your venue next.

He seems a very good angler, but I do detect a bit of the Jim Shelley type of "I will do what I want and I don't care about others" type attitude and arrogance. He mentions about getting beat up badly once in the Nazing film as a youngster too and that he deserved it, which was honest if nothing else.
I certainly would not describe him as aspirational, and all this inner city gangsta grime music really has no place in fishing. As has been said earlier, he may end up in with a few angling sponsorships, but he will also find himself on the blacklists of a lot of syndicates by coming over in the manner that he does.

Well after flicking through a couple of his you tube videos I can honestly say hes the sort of mockney cockney that I would steer well clear of.
I actually quite like him and his videos, he does seem to attract to much attention about certain waters he's on but as a angler and a blogger, I think he's quite good. Plus I love a bit of devlin

The thing that does me in with these videos, a lot of the time, filming and pictures are held back to help prevent their own angling getting destroyed, yet the second it's all over, it's thrown on the web, and well, everyone else's fishing gets ruined instead. Had it happen when the north met started getting heavily publicised, to a point on Fridays I couldn't get a swim on a 60 acre water. That basically ended a bit of fishing I was actually enjoying. I think it's just a respect thing, but that respect should go both ways, I've met Greg fishing around the valley, seemed like a sound bloke, obviously a good angler, but vandalising his motor isn't the way to go thinking it's a way to scare him off, or stop videos. I'm sure if people went round and earnt each other's respect these videos and pictures may well get put on hold untill after ticket deadlines, or for the following year? I don't know, I try and keep myself to myself as much as possibly so I'm only assuming. It's a shame none the less. It has turned into a very very selfish pursuit, from almost every perspective, it doesn't surprise me that more and more clubs and syndicates are going non publicity to keep the peace.

Over the years some very well known anglers have shown their true colours. ‘One of the lads' and all secret squirrel until they have caught their target then it's all over the mags etc while they go off to pastures new. A scorched earth policy which has been the ruination of many anglers' quiet fishing.

You can make videos and promote yourself as much as you like just don't name the venue. Not sure how naming the lake makes any difference to the article or video.
