Can anyone recommend a good warm pair of gloves for night fishing. Thanks

Snugpak gloves are decent. Black, look like ski gloves, they are not fingerless but they are warm and waterproof

Sealskinz do a gloveless pair with a mitten that go over. I liked the look but wasn't happy with the quality compared to there other range. I'll probably get a normal pair and just take them off when needed

The sealskinz shooting glove can have the forefinger and thumb pulled back, they are quite warm and not too bulky

Heat holders do a few options.

Have a look for Skytec Argon Thermal Gloves on Ebay or Amazon.
Screwfix used to sell them but i don't think they do anymore.

Providing they are just for sitting around in for long periods or doing big jobs like pushing barrows etc, I would recommend these off Ebay, ECW thermal gloves, inners and outers as I have been using these for years now since I first got issued with them and find them very warm:-

Be aware though, mice have a liking to them and will chew up the inner's to make their nests if they get near them

I always have two pairs incase the first pair gets wet.

I use plain black imax sea fishing gloves for my fishing. I dont do any sea fishing but I couldnt find any waterproof and thermal gloves anywhere and these are brilliant

I've got a pair of traffi thermal gloves 👍

I use a pair of tight fitting neoprene gloves - divers gloves. They are neoprene and I cut the thumb and first finger back. Been using these for donkeys years now (winter fishing in the Lakes and all over Scotland) and they do me. They need to be snug I have found.

I just use the neoprene ones from Aldi. Cheap but pretty good so always get a couple of pairs when in there. Not as robust as some but do everything I need from them and at the cost happy to renew every now and then

the early Green ones were never big enough for my hands but the last couple of years they have started selling bigger ones

Mechanix Wear fleece lined gloves - stay warm even when wet, so no need to take two pairs with you. Best glove I've used for fishing, end of. Good dexterity too, which is important to me when I'm lure fishing on a cold, winters' day from the boat. No small wonder the army special forces use them...

I use the most ordinary gloves. I don't even remember how long they stood, but certainly not expensive.

It's that time of year again. I'll be sticking with my snowboarding gloves that have a inner glove which will do. Although wouldn't mind a thinner pair of index and thumb fingerless gloves for inside my thicker pair.

The sealskinz fold back finger (shooting) gloves are what I use, had them quite a few years now. Worth a look anyway

Neoprene Fold back when I am going to get my hands wet. Thinsulate for dossing

i just got a standard marks and spencer pair with the thinsulate logo on, i also have a whitby hand warmer which runs on lighter fuel, on the coldest of days it's in my pocket and it keeps my hands nice and warm

If you want nice warm hands on the coldest of days buy some mittens, pertex ones, better still

I got a pair of Mechanix gloves for Christmas, weatherproof and windproof too. They are the 3m insulated version, need some wearing in a they are quite stiff to start off with. Would recommend these however 👍

I have those Mechanix thermals, had them a couple of years - not that great IMO once it gets below 5 degrees. Don't keep my hands warm for long on proper cold days. Also, not fully waterproof either, more showerproof I would say. Bought them more for shooting than fishing, where, let's face it, you can put your hands in your pockets for most of the day. Mechanix have really gone down hill in recent years - used to be the best and I still have some older ones that I use for general wear when shooting (it's all about grip), not now though. For carp fishing, a decent pair of thinsulate gloves is all you need. Most are about a tenner, so I take two pairs in case any get wet through. If I am lure fishing, I need 100% waterproof, so use moutaineering gloves, with gortex outer - expensive, but good dexterity and my hands will never get cold or wet. For really cold days, I use a liner glove inside them. Neoprene - waste of time IMO. Never found it kept my hands warm, but then I do suffer from cold hands more than most...

I just had a xmas prezzy a pair of sealskinz dragon eye camo gloves

100% breathable and waterproof and Touchscreen friendly and warm
HOWEVER !!!!!!! warning if like me you have extra big hands ? the XXL is tight on me they are spose to be size 12 !
I hope they are going to stretch a bit with use

Careful about buying expensive skiing gloves. I thought that it was a wise investment but as they are for an active sport I find them too cold for fishing - the cheap Thinsulate ones from the petrol station have been much better!
