I love a pod and have had a few.
I had one of Keiths (Defiant MPS) original Trident in stainless and then when he bought out the carbon version bought one of them .... Sold them, as fancied a change and bought a Fox Quattro, Jag Prolite and then a Dymag carbon pod but I felt none were as good as the Tridents .... So went back to Defiant and bought a Titanium Panther and added a Panther in Carbon version when he bought them out. Best pods on the market imo and only need to buy once (due to the quality) and i wouldnt part with either even though they hardly get used (I dont think my carbon Panther has ever been used)
For cheap and cheerful the Fox Trek Pod is excellent (old now) and also the Cygnet compact pod is a nice bit of kit

Ive got a two rod carbon/titanium defiant pod and two sticks if want fish three rods,superb pod and as people have said will out last me

I have one of his original stainless steel Panther pods would love to change for one of his newer models in titanium but tbh the pod I have will outlive me so put up with the extra weight!

The quality of the MPS gear can't really be beaten and is competitively priced as well when comparing to some of the top end mass produced gear. I had a fan tail which I sold as the lakes I fished didn't suit it and it felt a waste for it to he sitting in the shed unused. If I start fishing again I wouldn't hesitate to contact Keith again for a new pod

There are lots of cheaper copies of Keith's pods if cost is important.
I have one of Keith's Titanium Panthers, it's all I've used since I bought it, 1 of the 1st ones. Love the ease of taking a set of sticks of it to fish a rod to the side 😎

Depends what you class as affordable, I would look no further than Defiant MPS for a rod pod myself it will last you the rest of your fishing life!
