I like the Korda Compac range of weighslings and retainers.

They stopped doing the Chub retainers, you can still find the odd 1 online or go 2nd hand. Mine got nicked so just replaced it with the Korda retainer..its really good and the material seems to drain and dry better.

If you want big bulky and heavy, didn't Boris say heavy is reliable ππ?
Get the Cotswold one, it's likely to outlast me, so unlikely I'll ever need another one π

In reply to Post #1 Trakker sanctuary is good but I have to catch a carp to use it so havenβt used it that much ππππ

In reply to Post #1 I've had a couple of the NGT retainers - they have been really good for me. And budget.

I have both a trakker sanctuary & JRC Defender retainer and they are both very good quality but the JRC edges it out for me as the trakker takes a lot longer to dry.

In reply to Post #2 I'll second that I've also got a chub retainer also had it years and it's still going strong

In reply to Post #1 Have been looking recently, not because I need one, just want one. The solar and Carplife both look good.

Iβve got a Chub retainer/weigh sling which I got years back, solid and dependable. Trakker would be my next port of call for a new one, good quality gear across the board that
Iβve used.
