Don't want to hijack the thread but in a very similar position as off to France in a couple of months and would like some shorter rods for dropping rigs from a boat. Seen some Prologic C series retractables not too far away - anyone got a view on these?

Sonik extractor + if they get knocked about or go for a swim does not break the bank to replace.

I just picked up some 10ft 3lb sonik gravity's for just over £50 a rod and they are really good rods even at rrp. These replaced some 9ft insurgents, which were also £50 a rod. Keep an eye out and there are some great deals to be had on 9ft/10footers, and for the money it's had to beat the higher spec sonik rods.

In reply to Post #1 Get some TackleBox CFX 10ft 3lb mate if you can spend a little more, or look out for some 2nd hand. You will not regret it.

Freespirit helical or kaizen greens are both great rods for the money, id say the helicals edge it out

Using a rowing boat for the first time this year and looking at cheap ish 10ft rods to make the job easier. Probably looking at £300 for the three...these will be strictly for dropping baits and not casting!! Any I should be looking at or avoiding?
Thanks in advance
